Reviews for Street's Seafood Restaurant in Bay Minette, AL
The food was good, but they seem to have taken out the salad bar. Witch I liked. The food buffet was not what it use to be, if... your going to charge that much for buffet style food don't take the cheap way out with can food items on the buffet. People arelooking for home cooked meals. At least I am Read more
We stopped here twice in the past month for breakfast. I have been here many times over the years and have enjoyed the food.... There has been some confusion on the Saturday morning breakfast buffet and how it work and when it's open. We were able to haveit once but due to staffing shortages the eggs had to be ordered at you table but the rest was chosen from the bar. The secondtime the buffet closed early and we had to order from the menu instead. It's all the same to me but it was confusing. So whatabout the food? The food was great. Over both trips I was able to try several items. I had eggs two ways, loved the crispy baconand link sausage. The biscuits are homemade and so soft. They are great with gravy if interested. Prices are reasonable. Overallwe got good meals. Why the buffet was important was it was faster for is while traveling. We wanted a hearty breakfast quicklyso we could get on the road. Hopefully the staffing can get fixed and they can be back to normal. Read more
We stopped here on a whim; probably was the 20 billboards we saw on our way to and from Camping World! But turned out to be... worth it. Solid comfort food with a very laid back atmosphere. Eric got the patty melt and I got the chicken tenders, basic anddelicious. Read more
Server was very nice and personable. We had the lunch buffet. They offered several types of beans, meat loaf, fried chicken,... rice, gravy, corn muffins, and a few other choices. The food was warm, save for the rice, which was cold, nothing was hot. Thetea is bitter. The banana pudding had blackened bananas. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great. I would suggest trying themenu items, but last time we ate from the menu, it took forever, and the food, again, wasn't great. We used to eat there forbreakfast (buffet), years ago. And it was always fantastic. Perhaps we should try breakfast. I hope this review helps. Read more
If it were possible to give more than 5 stars, I would. Can not say enough about the food. Fresh, hot, and a great selection on... buffet. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our large group without any advanced notice. They went above and beyondto keep our drinks filled and take care of this bunch with a smile on their faces and cheer in their voice. The last thing waswith all the chaos going on we accidentally paid twice for some meals, to the tune of $90 and didn't realize until we weregone. A quick phone call and it was resolved with the same friendly attitude we had seen before. We definitely will be back. Read more
Great place to go and eat. The staff was very kind and friendly, the food was pretty awesome. It was a buffet style at lunch... time and I have nothing bad to say about it. You could get from the buffet or order on a menu. Service was very prompt with agood atmosphere of not a chain style eat spot but a take your friends and family to enjoy the company. Worth going to andeating. Read more
Stopped on the way back from the beach and SO glad we did. Based on the exterior and interior of the restaurant it appears to... have been there a while. Could use a little updating. Despite that, the food was great and the service was pleasant and quick. Our waitress appeared to be serving the entire room but that didn't keep her from providing excellent service. I had an oysterpo' boy with sweet potato fries and they were both tasty. The bread for my sandwich was right on par with any New Orleans stylepo' boy I've ever had. The best part, though, was at the end when we spurged with peach cobbler and ice cream. All I can say isthe billboards coming into town stating, "America's Best Peach Cobbler" wer NOT wrong!! Getting some service done to my car at Chuck Stevens in Bay Minette. Didn't eat breakfast so I walked across to Streets for some... food. I stepped right back into 1985. Slow country/gospel music, good ole' boys sitting in groups talking about life and grandchildren. Outdated signage and the obituary cards from local regulars on the wall. Got an absolutely delicious grit bowl withgrits, cheese, patty sausage and an over medium egg and a cup of coffee. Reminded me of my dad's breakfasts. Not one personstaring at a cell phone. Then she brought the check. $6.50. Yep $6.50. Didn't even charge me for the coffee! I want to go backto the simpler times! Read more
