My mom just got home from a very difficult 2 month hospital stay and getting out of the house is complicated. It was such a... beautiful day and suggested an alfresco lunch anyway. It was our first time here. The food and service were good. However, wehad just paid our bill, mom was happily sipping the remainder of her lemonade and enjoying the sunshine when one of thewaitresses came over and brazenly told us to leave because they needed the table. Mind you, we had not even been there for anhour and most of that was waiting for our food. Thanks for ruining what would have been a great experience. Seriously rude! Read more
Great Beachy Cafe a block or so off the beach. Seems pretty popular. Solid Breakfast. I particularly liked my flattop grilled... chorizo side. Service is very good and fast. Tip your Waitress or Waiter, they definitely hustle! Read more
Family owned, incredibly polite, great food, great ice cream desserts, GREAT FOOD, SUPER POLITE WAITRESSES, GREAT FOOD, ...... owners relocated from Lavallette and are running this with eloquence! Super, I would eat everyday here when nearby! Great job! Read more
Enjoyed outdoor lunch with a friend. Service was outstanding, both our server and others frequently checked to see if we needed... anything but they were not intrusive. We both ordered salads and the salad was drenched with dressing, way too much and made itdifficult to eat. If you eat here I would suggest dressing on the side. Also ordered home fries based on positive reviews, foundthem fine but not extraordinary. Read more
A nice outside atmosphere with an average breakfast. Dune Grass says they open AROUND 8:00 am so technically when we were seated... at 8:20 this was OK. The staff was friendly. The food orders seemed to favor certain guests and not a first in next out. Kitchenservice was slow. We found our breakfast to be average. To the Chef. Brioche by definition is a fluffy, buttery, egg bread. Thethin white bread used for your Brioche French toast although good was just French Toast. Adorable little restaurant in Bay Head that serves the ultimate breakfasts! I got the Belly Buster with a side of sausage and it... did not disappoint! The pancakes were buttery and fluffy, the eggs were cooked to a perfect medium and the sausage was crispsnap on the outside and savory and delicious all over! We enjoyed a delightful lunch in this charming 1880 building in Bay Head. The Cafe has inside and outdoor seating as well as a... separate walk up ice cream shop. I ordered the vegetable egg omelette and it came with a side of pancakes. My friend ordered alunch special with eggs and a mini hot fudge Sunday for dessert. The food was fresh and cooked to our specification. Theinterior is bright and spacious with decor to match the building. The owner, Mary, chatted with us and said the will offerdinners soon. This was the first place we had breakfast after we moved here. The Bay Head omelet is amazing. Highly recommend.
