It's very cool in my opinion. They have all the drinks and beers you could ask for. I didn't eat there but the food looked and... smells amazing. The decor is very nice lots of things to look at while sipping on your beverage. Read more

The rusty nail is a must-visit if you are in the Battle Lake area. This restaurant has a diverse menu, friendly staff, and a... wide variety of appetizers for the whole family. The only downside of this establishment is the popularity. Because thisestablishment is one of few in the area, every tourist comes to visit (for good reason). If you are visiting for the first time,I recommend arriving for a brunch or a linner instead of the typical rush. Definitely coming back here again! Read more

Food was great, but it was outweighed by the terrible service. We waited an hour for our food, and we only ordered 3 entrees.... While we were waiting for the food I noticed how dirty the drink glasses were, and the bathroom was disgusting. One of usordered mac and cheese, just to find out it was Kraft Mac and cheese and they charged us a lot for something that probablycosted 50 cents to make. Not coming back anytime soon Read more

I had a really great time at the Rusty Nail. I stopped in on my way home after a long day out and about, hoping to have a quiet... drink. I got exactly what I wished for. They had a great selection of local brews, and the bartender was able to recommend afantastic microbrew for me, which I really enjoyed. They also mix a fantastic lemon-drop martini, although the promised sugaredrim was lacking. Maybe next time! Read more

That was a GREAT burger! I've got to say that was easily top 5 burgers I've ever had, and easily the best restaurant I've ate at... in Otter tail county area. Burgers are a 1/3lb, which I'm a bigger guy so I made it a double cheese burger (so glad I did), andI upgraded to the onion rings. The onion rings were PERFECT. So good! Burger was juicy, right amount of cheese and grease. They didn't ask how I wanted it cooked, and they cooked it perfect. It was really busy when we were there, and it took a bit toget our food, but I've got to say it was worth it. Our server apologized for the wait, but it's not your fault that a party of17 walked in right in front of us. So I'll say the server was good. Overall I wasn't expecting a restaurant like this in thatarea. Everything was delicious, and I can't wait to come back and try the sunfish l! Read more

I've heard this place has been rated the best burgers in Minnesota. I may have to disagree with that, there are thousands of... burgers places. The burger is good, ok-really good, but there's an item on the menu that's awesome. In the appetizer section, they have "sunnies". It's actually a nice meal. You get 4-5 fillets of nice sized sunfish and a choice of fires of fresh cutchips. I've had them 3 times so far, and each time the breading was a bit different. The first time they were coated with alight breading. Panko, maybe? And fried to perfection. The other two time it seemed like it was a bit thicker beer batter. Iprefer the lighter coating, but both are excellent. The onion rings make a great choice, also. The atmosphere is small townbar/pub, and the walls and ceilings are covered with cool memorabilia. A very nice choice of craft beer is available and the tapholder is pretty cool. Read more
