I just discovered this place, and I loved it!.... The LSU football atmosphere make it really special, and the meats and sides... are absolutely delightful!!.... The legend platter is an absolute MUST to share with friends. The 2- 3- meats combos are supersatisfying too if you go solo. I totally recommend you to save a little room to try the bread pudding with whiskey sauce, pleasebelieve me, IT IS HEAVENLY!.... I'm definitely coming back soon to this place! Read more

OMG, this food is so good. Nice portions size. 2 meats and 2 sides was more than enough. Great flavors.

Upon walking in, the place gave me a homely feel. There are lots of pictures on the wall and they are all clean; free of dust n... debris. My waitress Jasmine greeted us at the front door and took us to our seats. There was no wait time. (Apparently we hit asweet spot with our timing because there was a line of graduates and families as we were exiting) I ordered the St. Louis Ribswith corn grits n baked beans while my husband ordered brisket, Mac n cheese n burnt ends. Good friendly staff , brisket ,red beans and macaroni w/ white cheddar cheese were delicious... Salmon was a bit over cooked but... still good .. I would recommend this establishment to friends and family. Read more

Service was excellent !!!! 51 ladies got in and out with amazing service and hospitality. Welcomed and greeted with open arms... and big smiles. Timely and well coordinated. This was a last minute stop because crackle barrel couldn't accommodate us after wereserved... Food was very filling and delicious!!! Ribs melt in your mouth, salads very unique and good! The waiter never told us his name. When I was asking him questions about menu items he seems unsure like he didn’t know about... their food. We ordered all of our food and drinks at 4:12. Bread came out at 4:19 and fried pickles at 4:22. Bread/roll wasgood. Nothing out of the ordinary. The fried pickles were okay little too greasy than fried pickles usually are. The sauce isgood that you dip them in. Biggest issue is when I unwrapped my napkin there was food that was on my knife and flaked off. Wehad to ask him for refills on our drinks several times. Food came out at 4:35. Unwrapped my silverware for second time and therewas lettuce on my fork. The restaurant was very empty and quite I think there was only one or two other tables of people besidesus in the restaurant. I was not impressed at all with the service or quality. The fries were not seasoned very bland & theTurkey was cold. The burnt ends were decent, defiantly not in my top of what I have had. The ribs were good, the Cajun seasonedpotatoes were not seasoned just thrown in the deep fryer, very upset about this. The Mac and cheese was average. The fruit didnot taste fresh the honey dews tastes old and I couldn’t eat anymore after 2 bites. I have heard great things about this placebut the service, environment, utensils and food were all very much of a let down. My significant other ate here couple years agoand said it was to die for good, his opinion has changed and my opinion is not a good one.
