I?ve always thought this places name is funny. Their jambalaya is horrible. Their pastalaya is mediocre on the other hand. I... ordered the dinner plate and it said it came with a side of corn and a side of green beans PLUS two additional sides. Well Inever got my corn or green beans. The banana pudding serving was the size of a golf ball. Honestly the salad, which was theblandest part was the most appetizing. I?ll have to rethink ordering major menus the next time jambalaya shoppe is therestaurant of the day. Disappointing. Read more

Had the gumbo and pastalaya. Everything was great til I found a piece of plastic wrapper in the bottom of the pastalaya bowl.

I?d go 10/5 stars to prove a point if I could. I met the owner Kathy (Cathy?) at a Mardi Gras parade and she was beyond... AH-MAY-ZUH-HING! I love it when business go above and beyond to show their love for the communities they serve. The food isauthentic and phenomenal as she is. I?d recommend the sausage and chicken jambalaya with a side of boudin balls. I tad on thespicy side but perfect for me. My wife and I may have to make the trip back just for the parade and this shoppe next Mardi Gras. Read more

I placed an order for the pastalaya plate with two sides with an extra roll and I also ordered bread pudding for dessert. The... extra roll and the bread pudding I didn?t receive. I called the location my order was picked up from to see why I didn?t receiveall of what I ordered. A lady answered the phone and said well you can just come pick it up so I was like why should I have tocome pick it up if I ordered for it to be delivered?!?! She throws the phone down and some man comes on the phone And I askabout my missing items and his response was, Oh we get alot of orders and we probably just forgot to put it in the bag. The bagpertaining to my order was tied up in a knot with a tag on it with my name on it, my thing is if you took the time to tie thebag and attach a tag to it WHY NOT MAKE SURE ALL ITEMS ORDERED ARE IN THE BAG BEFORE ITS TIED IN A KNOT?!?! I?ll be calling themanager in the morning since one isn?t available SMH ??????????? Read more

I come here every week for lunch. Food is great and affordable. And the staff is friendly (: Check out their specials!... Monday-Friday they have a lunch special until 2 or until they run out. Pretty much the only place I grab lunch from if I didn'tbring my own. My favorite is their spaghetti on Tuesday and chicken stew on Wednesday ???? Also check out their bread puddingand bayou mud pudding. They're my favorites when I want to treat myself to a quick sweet treat ???? Read more
