Where have I been, but I never heard about this place. My boss decided to take our team here for a quick bite to eat and when I... tell you I?m so glad that he did. When I asked the waitress Miss Shirley, what was good on a menu, she said EVERYTHING!!! Shewas Great at explaining everything to us, and she made us feel like we were the only ones there. I ordered the Grit Cakes withCrawfish????????????. It was close your eyes good . Don?t talk about the shrimp and grits, it has so much flavor! Forappetizers we had the French toast bites, and the Beignets. this place was so reasonable, and the vibe was awesome. An amazingplace to get an awesome meal with great service!!! Read more
Great service, even 30 minutes before close! I hate being those people having been in the restaurant business in my 20?s but we... were craving brunch last Saturday and due to traffic and driving 35 minutes (on a regular traffic day), it took us longer thanexpected. However, the entire staff did a phenomenal job all the way around! The food, the service, ALL of it! We willdefinitely be back, earlier next time ???? (we were actually out by about 3:15 and there were still several tables stilleating)! Read more
This is one of those situations where the hype does not quite meet the intended expectation. I hope to explain the review so the... management and consumer can understand my 3 stars. Our server was exceptional for this visit. Great people skills and knowledgeof the menu. We had a cafe latte and French toast bites to start. The coffee was a bit weak and they provided no spoon to stirin any sweetener. It?s Louisiana and the coffee should have an attitude fitting to stand up to the dairy. This screamed latte nocafe! Paper straws - I really dislike them. I know it?s a green alternative, however, they break down in my beverage (icedwater) and they weaken. The server provide plates, and napkins prior to the starter which is a necessity unless you want to feellike your eating from a buffet. The French toast bites are dirty, crusted morsels, albeit for the sides and caramel drizzle. This was done very well. Perfect if the coffee had delivered to its expectation. Our entrees, although edible, were neithervisually appealing or as reported by other reviews raving the delights of the Epicurious. The biscuits and gravy, although builtup to a pinnacle deserving of an Olympian feat, fell short in delivering the anticipatory glory of mouthwatering exceptionalism. The gravy was a watery mess of broken tears and subpar sausage. The eggs were not fresh and appeared and tasted like premadepanned eggs. That?s atrocious if you expect fresh scrambled eggs. They are easy to do. They take 1-2 minutes unless they aredone in the French style and creamed to perfection. The fried green tomato was perfect. Crisp, textured, and absolutely a treatalong with the bacon. These are however sides to the main dish. Biscuits do not need to be that high to deliver the intendedexpectation. Too much bread versus gravy. The avocado, salmon toast should have been a key winner in this deflated adventure. The presentation was good. The poached egg, although perfect in cooking was not exceptional in fla Read more
I love the Salmon Toast and Morning Margaritas. Staff is friendly and the service is great. The wait was very long and we... almost left. Once we were seated, our server RASHAUNDRA J. "ROE" made us glad we decided to stay! Her service was impeccable. The starters were served hot and timely. The main dishes were divine as usual. Recommend the Chicken St Charles, Pineapplemimosa, cinnamon swirl pancakes, and creamy vanilla iced coffee. Thanks again ROE, for great service. Read more

For a Saturday morning on LSU Gameday seating time was less than 15 minutes which was a shock. The seating is way too cramped... for my liking. Every seating spot in the restaurant puts you right next to another patron and the place was full so that was anegative. Service was very quick. We got our appetizer and drinks in a timely manner and our server checked up on us to let usknow when the main meal would be out. The food was pretty good as well. I like their take on Eggs Benedict and those frenchtoats bites were awesome. The shrimp and grits was way too greasey for my taste, but it was well seasoned. The bloody mary wasthe best part of the meal. Read more
