I received a $20 off coupon on Facebook, so my husband and I decided to give this place a try. We went on a Tuesday night at... 6:30 pm, and we were the only table there. A little awkward, but no biggie, the music was great. We were told to sit wherever wewanted. We ordered Crispy Wontons for an appetizer, and 3 sushi rolls to share. We got everything at once and the server saidsomeone was training, that?s why the app took awhile. The Sweet Home Alabama roll was our favorite and absolutely worth comingback for, and I loved the wontons too. We ended up paying $20 with the discount for everything, and took leftovers home. My date chose Rock N Roll Sushi from the choices I gave him from this years Best of 225. I was skeptical based off the recent... reviews but I must say, glad I kept my mouth closed and decided to see what the 9% that said this was one of the best wastalking about. The waitress and bar tenders was awesome. Restaurant had good energy. If we could have requested songs that wouldhave made it top tier. Our waitress assisted me with making my decision and I must say the one she suggested (VIP Roll) was onthe level of Kirins in Hammond Louisiana (Kirins is the best IMO so to be on that level is a compliment)! We didn't realize therestaurant was closing within an hour of our arrival. I love/appreciate them patiently waiting for us to depart (we noticed howthey were patiently waiting and googled their hours) so basically this was one of those dates where we "closed the restaurantdown". They didn't have enough employees working. Tables hadn't been cleared. We were ignored when we came in. Then we took a seat... outside and he came out to tell us that it would be 45 minutes before we would get our food. We left... I will go back againand give them another chance because the service in the past has been good. Read more
Dined in with a friend. We were advised that if we were ordering from the the restaurant week menu that the wait for our food... would be 30-40 minutes but that same wait did not apply to regular priced menu items. Reluctant we ordered from the restaurantweek menu. After about an hour my friends appetizer came to the table, 15 minutes later her entree came to the table. I neverreceived any of the food I ordered. The server never noticed I didn't receive anything until I told her to cancel the order.This place has potential to be a great establishment it lacks management. The manager never came to the table to address myconcernsand no one tried to rectify the situation. Read more
We arrived at 6:42, and there were 3 other tables (all 2 tops) there that already had food, drinks, and were closing out. Yet,... we still waited 21 minutes before my boyfriend went up and asked for waters. This entire time, the server (Asher) was staring atthe bar wall or fiddling around behind the bar. So I don?t really understand the wait. He had a terrible attitude the entiretime. Then, we got our food and one of my friends received the wrong food. But we had already waited so long, so we dealt withit. Then we waited again for him to finally come close us out. Then to top this all off, he added an auto gratuity to a 4 top -which I have NEVER heard of. All in all, I feel I would have gotten better service at McDonalds. A co-worker gave me a Groupon Voucher to Rock N Roll for $30 worth of food. You will find your typical sushi wants and needs on... the menu with a few special extras. I ordered the avocado spicy tuna appetizer that was delicious and so pretty!!! On top ofthat for my $30 I got a ginger side salad that was ok... (not my favorite ginger dressing but still solid), some fantastichibachi-style vegetables, and 4 servings of salmon sashimi. Pretty good/normal value pricing for a typical sushi place. Eat here! There are three things that stand out here. 1) The sushi rolls are wonderful, tasty, and fresh. 2) The ambiance is... great. Who doesn't love rock music from the 80s/90s along with the theme to match? 3) The people who work there are great. Ichatted with Renara (hope I spelled it right) for a good bit and her personality is wonderful. It shines alongside the otherswho work there with great personalities as well. Read more
