Reviews for Mason's Grill in Baton Rouge, LA
Busy busy busy Saturday morning brunch. The place was hopping and our waitress was working hard for our party of 12 and her... other customers. Crabcake Benedict was ordered by a few of us and delicious! The Bloody Mary met up to the award winning hypeand gets my vote. Relaxed hometown atmosphere. Go check it out. Read more
Perfect example of how much Google reviews help consumers. I was looking for a place that had bottomless mimosas for lunch.... Although Mason comes up in a search as a place with bottomless mimosas, it?s no longer an option. The bottle of champagne was$15 and we were able to get the juice of our choice. Prices are reasonable and food portions are ample. Service is pretty quickconsidering it?s brunch time. Oh yea, it?s loud in the bar area?might be too loud for some and for others like me - just goodvibes and great atmosphere! Best onion rings I?ve ever eaten!! Three of us had chicken and waffles, except I swapped out mywaffle for a pancake. The food was absolutely delicious and seasoned to perfection. Not bland nor too salty. Someone else in ourparty had fried catfish and shrimp which they were happy with. For appetizers we also had the artichoke dip which was a bitthick but it was still very tasty and the Buffalo wings were great as well. Really no complaints at all about any of the food. The place is real lively and staff is very accommodating and attentive. We gave our waitress Shelli a $40 tip ($166 bill). Youcould tell she was overwhelmed and tired but she gave us her undivided attention and was extremely helpful with our foodselections. The menu is extensive and being our first time there, everything looked good. We had no idea what we wanted so shewas really a big help with us narrowing down our choices. My next venture there will be for Taco Tuesday. When we drove up,the parking lot was crowded but people were coming and going so we found a spot easily. I?m not sure but there may be additionalparking in the back. Read more
Off the beating path in Baton Rouge, wonderful selection of pretty much anything you want. Cajun twist mostly, but mostly... burgers. I had the Cajun shrimp burger, weird having shrimp on a burger, but it was a nice flavor. Burger was tasty. Read more
Great brunch experience. The chicken and waffles was good. The pancakes yessss. And the fried catfish and loaded grits are... amazing. We had a few appetizers and they were even good-onion rings, spinach dip, and the Buffalo wings(which we ordered someto-go as well. And the highlight for me was the $15 bottle of champagne and it comes with your free choice of juice. I willdefinitely visit here again. Read more
Fine dining at budget prices! When we arrived there was a 30 min wait but it was well worth it. I didn't see it on the menu... but they do have boudin stuffed onion rings and they were seasoned to perfection. I ordered the Aloha Burger. It was made on abrioche bun that melted in your mouth. The portions were huge and you will leave stuffed. I recommend this to anyone travelingto this area. Read more
Really not sure about King cake buns. The cinnamon & sugar just doesn't bode well with a burger. But it was tasty. Good service... too. Looking forward to dining in next time. Read more
