With not a whole lot of options, early in the week that is, for dining in Bathurst I ended up at Cast & Crew twice during my... visit. First visit because it's opened later than most other restaurants in the area. I got take out 20 minutes prior toclosing, which always makes me feel bad, but I made it worth their while, tipping the kitchen staff and the service staff fortheir troubles. The Pad Thai was amazing! And the Bao buns were larger than I expected, and delicious. It was because of thesedishes that I ended up back for lunch the next day. Steak tacos were a nice treat, and messy like a taco should be. Maple currychicken stir fry had all the right flavors in all the right places. Would definitely go back whenever I return to Bathurst! Didn't have the beer on tap (local microbrewery) that I wanted to try, but had one that I like on tap at least. Had some vegan... options (I'm vegan), all my fish and meat eating friends liked their meals also. Service wasn't too bad, a bit pricey but nicedecor and atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend it for a nice night out. Read more
This was by far the WORST restaurant experience I have had in all of my 30 years eating out. I ordered a salad and a side of... roasted vegetables. When the salad came the dressing was so sweet that I couldn?t eat it (tasted like they use concentratedapple juice in the dressing), not to mention that 1/4 of the greens were completely wilted. The vegetables were so over cooked Icouldn?t eat them (tasted like they boiled them before they roasted them) in addition to being too oily and unsalted. When Itold the waiter I couldn?t eat the food they took it away and then the bill came and I was charged for the meal. I was shocked.I complained and spoke with the manager and they insisted on charging me for the salad stating that I shouldn?t have ordered itif I didn?t want the vinaigrette. When I mentioned how sweet it was, they shrugged their shoulders and told me that it wasn?ttheir responsibility that I like their food?! When they insisted that I pay for the salad, I asked if they would give meanother salad to go - plain without the dressing so that I could at least eat the meal I had to pay for. She scoffed and told meshe wasn?t going to give me a salad for free and then she walked away from me telling me that she didn?t have time to deal withme! I have never experienced more rudeness, unkindness or arrogance from a restaurant whose sole purpose is to nourish peoplewith their food. To be dismissed, unaccommodated and unfed is unforgivable. Shame on you Cast & Crew. You failed at customerservice and feeding me - your two reasons for existing. (Oh, and do I need to mention that my partner?s Pad Thai was alsoburnt?). Read more

My husband and I went for supper on a Friday night. Parking lot was packed when we pulled up but got easy parking and proceeded... inside. Got a nice booth and had a fireplace view. This place rocks. It is dark interior with amazing copper lights and a coolbar. Seating is spaced apart with lots of seating. Lots of cool drinks and food was just amazing. You can taste the food.Ingredients are fresh. Had light music playing while we ate dinner...good 70's music????We wanna go back already. Wish we livedcloser. Highly recommend ???? Read more
I got the ribs with baked potato and it was great. I didn't love the potato as I thought it needed some more salt and seasoning... but the ribs were really yummy! And the atmosphere is so welcoming. It's spacious and well decorated with warm lights. Serverswere friendly and helpful. I'd definitely return. Read more
Fish and chips was amazing. The fries were cut very thin and they were done to perfection. We showed up at 8:50pm and they close... at 9pm. They were gracious enough to let us know the items on the menu that were available before seating us. The place is niceinside and everyone there seemed friendly and to be havinn a great time. Excellent meal. Very nice place. Good beer. I had fish(Haddock) and chips with a local beer from 13 Barrels Brewery. Highly... recommend. Theatre is right next door too. Well worth checking this restaurant / pub out. About $37 with tip and taxes in. Read more
