Food is OK. Used to be better. Love the atmosphere and the hand carved and decorated chairs are beautiful. Nice folks. Fun... location. Read more

This place is incredibly overpriced. It costs $32.13 for 5 tacos that have barely any cilantro and onion on them. The sauce is... largely flavorless and the meat barely tastes like anything. This is the most inoffensive Mexican food I've ever had. It's likethe subway of Mexican food in that it's edible and that's about it. The green sauce is spicier than the red sauce. It costs $6per taco. I've had dollar tacos that taste 3 times as good. They also used tasteless white corn tortillas instead of the normalyellow ones. I had to ask for sauce because they didn't give it to me by default. There were no limes. Go to El Sazon down thestreet for an immensely improved experience. Read more

Tacos are very overpriced, for not automatically bringing some sliced lime and hot sauce with them. The mole sauce was too... sweet and not spicy at all. The horchata tasted like it was made with some powder. There was no cinnamon in it. Didn't tasteanything authentic. On top of all that, the service was extremely slow for an empty restaurant with only a few patrons inside. Read more

It really pains me to say this, since this has been an old Batavia haunt my family has gone to for many years. Food quality is... still pretty good, and drinks were too. However, since reopening, the wait staff has become extremely disorganized. The diningexperience took almost an hour and a half with many mistakes and a lot of unnecessary back and forth. The check was also wrong, and there was no offer to comp anything despite the length of time and many mistakes, including one of my friends not evengetting her food! The place also seems pricier than I remember. Not only that, an umbrella flew away and a customer had to goretrieve it!!! El Taco, get your act together. I know you are much better than this. Delicious Mexican restaurant. One of the best places to eat in Batavia! Finding this place is a little difficult because it?s... basically in a basement unit that is below a clothing boutique. It?s at the corner of Wilson and River Street so if you see thearchway, then the restaurant is located to the bottom right. The portions of their Mexican dishes are very large (which isgreat) and their tequila is super tasty ???? so I highly recommend giving this place a try. ???????? Read more

Best authentic Mexican food!!! Well worth every penny... I ordered the Bull burrito which was HUGE!! The steak was so tender and... juicy. They use the best quality of meat I've had at a Mexican restaurant. Overall they are my new favorite place... Lookingforward to the next time if only they weren't 45 minutes away from me. The service was great and we enjoyed talking the ownerwho makes a great margarita ???? Read more
