We came here for the first time and it is such a cool experience. Very delicious! Our server Allie was very kind and helpful and... went above and beyond to give our family of 3 a great experience! she even had the bar make me a mocktail spritzer withginger/pomegranate sparkling it was delicious. My husband is a steak guy and for him the ribeye was very tasty. We started withthe crab Mac & Cheese and our 6-year-old loved it. I enjoyed a feast: strawberry and spinach salad, filet mignon with mashedpotatoes and the “haricot verts” which we found out is a fancy word for French green beans. They were all very delicious! Weshared onion rings with ranch and Brussel sprouts. Daughter had a grilled cheese and Fries, they even had a nice kids menu withactivities. It was a cozy and relaxing experience. The low candle lighting and historic yet artistic atmosphere made it feel funand adventurous. Try the prickly pear lemonade when you go! Next time we’ll save room for dessert. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here for our first time visiting and don’t regret it! Everything was so good! Signature... martinis were $5 during Happy Hour. Key Lime and Chocolate were best. We had Crab stuffed mushrooms, Caprese Salad, LobsterBisque. The bisque was our favorite! For entrees we got Filet Mignon and the Salmon. The steak was cooked perfectly. The salmonhad lump crab and shrimp on top. The sauce on it was yummy. We got a free dessert. Bread pudding was phenomenal! Greatatmosphere in a cool old building. Read more

We’re new to Bastrop and I wanted to treat my wife to a special evening for her birthday. Piney Creek seemed like a logical... choice. After sharing some yummy crab stuffed mushrooms with cocktails My wife ordered a Caesar salad and a filet as her mainmeal. It was done perfectly and she loved every bite. I ordered lamb. I substituted asparagus with the mashed. It was awonderful meal. We pushed it a bit with dessert but Helen has to have her cream brûlée. It was excellent. My bread pudding wasvery tasty but a bit looser than I like it. All in all Helen loved her birthday dinner and we had a lovely evening. Our serverwas friendly, attentive, and helpful and paced our dinner allowing us to relax and enjoy. The ambiance was warm and classy butpeople were dressed from fleece to jackets. That’s life today. Prices are typical for an upscale restaurant but so was thevalue. It’s not a large dining room so reservations are probably a good idea. Hours are limited but maybe that will changesome day. Beautiful, low lights, romantic restaurant. Bacon wrapped scallops fabulous! Warm bread to soak up the garlic butter from the... scallops. Caprese salad has a sauce on it that tasted like Italian dressing. I didn't like it. Crab cakes and sauce had notaste. Pork chop cooked perfectly. Mashed potatoes yummy! First time here. Drove by MANY times and never got the chance to stop until today. Tess, my server was very good and was... attentive to any needs. She recommended the chop out of my selections and was an outstanding choice. The caprese was myappetizer and was very delicious. Not crazy about the elevator music or (light jazz) but it was relaxing. The ambiance wasperfect for an evening out. I'm sure I will be back with my wife for a quiet date. Next time I'll probably order a steak(porterhouse maybe). Read more
I had an amazing birthday dinner with friends here last night. Started off with bacon wrapped scallops and bruchetta. The... ambiance was just right. Drinks were tasty. I had a porterhouse steak with crab mac and cheese. Everything was cooked toperfection. Dessert was the chocolate cake and ice cream. My friends loved it. I loved it. I'm definitely going back for moresteak! And finally the staff are attentive and super sweet. I should have taken pictures maybe next time. Read more
