My husband and I stayed in Bastrop the week leading up to our wedding in nearby Smithville and this was one of the first places... we stopped the night we got into town. We sat at the bartop and had a lovely conversation with the bartender about hockey, thepacific northwest, and probably a few things I'm not remembering. I want to say his name was John but I could easily bemistaken. It was a really cool spot with of course tons of beer options, but also some wines and seltzers if beer wasn't yourthing. They don't currently serve food other than a pretzel, so just be aware of that when you visit. Definitely worth stoppingin! Read more
This is a very chill and laid back bar. They have a great selection of beer and wine. I suggest asking to sample their different... beers to see which one is your favorite. They also have sake and champagne cocktails. There is a case full of canned beer andother drinks that you can take on the go and walk around downtown. Read more

New place that just sells beer, lots and lots of different kinds of beer. The atmosphere is nice, cool signs, old pinball... machines and guitars on the wall you can take down and play. The leather couches and chairs and GREAT air conditioning makethis a nice spot on a hot day. If you are looking for food, this place has NO kitchen, so don't get mad. Read more
Stopped in on my motorcycle ride. More beers to choose from than you can drink in one sitting. The beer tender named Heather was... very pleasant and helpful. I will always make this a destination when I stop in bastrop from now on. Read more
