Really enjoyed stopping here! The menu was varied which gave us a wider option of things to eat. The bbq chicken was delicious,... with a side of texas toast and slaw. This is our families favorite Saturday place. We are there almost every Saturday to enjoy the fantastic food, friendly service,... and amazing atmosphere. I can say, I have tried ALMOST everything on the menu and I have not had a bad meal yet. The hotdogsare, in a single word, flavorful. The fries, fantastic, especially when paired with the homemade "railway" sauce. The chickentenders and club sandwich and my kids favorite, and the southwest chicken salad with the homemade southwest is my wife's staple.Trust me when I say, I do not typically leave reviews, unless I am over the top impressed. Happened upon this cafe while taking a leisurely drive through the countryside with my husband. We were hungry but had little... hope this sleepy little area would have many options for lunch. The Railway Cafe exceeded all expectations and I?d stack it upagainst most sandwich shops in metro areas. The service was pleasant and quick, the food tasty and served piping hot, and theRailway sauce for the fries was a great twist. Friendly, Conveniently located. Very clean and modern. Inside and Outside seating. Very spacious outside area with tables and... picnic tables. Small inside but very nice. FAST service on getting our order. Crowded with lots of to go orders tells me this isa very liked place. Plenty of parking in the heart of Bassett with lots of places to walk to and get photos.
