Ate here with my husband a few months ago for date night. I had only eaten at Heathers once before, several years ago, and had... ordered salmon that was drier than the Sahara Desert. I decided to give it another try and suggested we go there for date nightwhich ended up being the worst meal ever! I figured I should try Heather’s signature pies. I ordered the Cuban one. I couldhave made a MUCH better one at home and saved my money! It’s like they overcooked it because the biscuit crust was dense, dry,and hard as a rock! The filling was flavorless and very UNSAVORY. My cocktail was so strong it nearly burned my eyes. I leftafter having eaten just a few bites of that disgusting pie, and left most of my drink as well. My husband and I will NEVER goback. Read more

What a great place to eat in basalt. The most delicious chicken pot pie and many other pot pies or savory pies as they call... them. Salads appetizers too, like the baked brie and so many more and it’s really lively, with live music certain days of theweek . and a great bar scene and a hotspot for brunch in Basalt on Sundays. Delicious food. Read more

Went to have a my first meal here with my mother. Whole family had been there a week ago and said it was so great. Waited to... be seated, sat for at least 20 minutes for just service to get a drink, had to get up and ask the hostess for service. A serverfinally showed up said so busy opening up bottles of wine and so sorry she hadn’t been by. Get meal fine, slow on everything, trying to pay check and watch servers at table behind us eating and drinking with friends, food came out for them immediately. Had to get up and go to bar and ask to pay the check. Unfortunate, wouldn’t come back here if you paid me. Read more

Very good food, a wonderful outdoor patio, and fantastic service with lots of smiles... We felt very welcomed and cared for. We... got the brie and the chicken lollipops for starters. I really liked both of them. Lots of flavors. The caesar salad was aclassic presentation. And for me, the Perfect Potroast was a nicely braised beef chuck. A few at our table got the pit piesand enjoyed them. For my party as a whole, our favorites were the desserts... Amazing desserts here!!! Read more

This is a gem! It's nice and cool inside on a hot day but the patio is great too. The waitstaff really cares that you have a... good meal. We enjoyed their salads but cannot wait to try the pot pies on a cooler day. Read more

I stopped here while staying in Glenwood Springs. It is well worth driving out of your way! I ate the duck with Parmesan risotto... and tried my friend’s chicken pot pie. The flavor profiles of both dishes were complex and well balanced. I have never hadgrilled grapes and the raspberry sauce over the duck was divine. I took a slice of coconut cream pie to go. It was so creamywith a fantastically salted crust. The crust on the chicken pot pie was so buttery and satisfying. Spend the money, take thedrive, eat at Heather’s! Read more

My wife and I were incredibly disappointed with our experience after reading so many great reviews online. Two stars are for the... watermelon salad and the beef empanadas. The tuna “tartare” had the worst texture and seemed to just be dressed in mayo, along with the greasiest tortilla chips we couldn’t even eat. On the the side was the laziest combo of more mayo and sriracha.Didn’t finish 2 bites. The stuffed mushrooms were soggy and seemed like they’d been sitting out for hours then heated up,old dry cheese on top, which we sent back after some sass from the waiter, who also didn’t inform our waitress so they werestill on the bill. Also beers were not even filled to the top and $6 each. Overall not a $150 experience. I hate to leave a badreview for what seems like a small local restaurant, but I’m hoping they value the feedback and work on improving the qualityof service. Maybe they got a new menu or a new chef, seems like most of the good reviews are from months and months ago. Read more
