Hella good burgers. Not pictured, but equally as delicious was the Firecracker Shrimp and cake slices that were also exquisite.... It's a cool little spot. We'll be back next year when work brings us into town again! Read more

We went for my birthday yesterday and the staff were super sweet! A little bit of wait time, but completely understandable... because it was a bit busy. We had two drinks, Hail Mary and The Skyy is Falling. Both were super delicious!! The bacon in theHail Mary was superb and the drink had just the right amount of seasonings. The Skyy is Falling was sweet and refreshing! Read more

Man oh MAN is the food delicious at this place. We tried the Not Chose with brisket for an appetizer and the brisket simply... melted in our mouths!! The owner also owns the ranch where the beef is sourced and it is beyond scrumptious. I ordered the CluckMac n Cheese and it was the epitome of Mac n Cheese adult-style. Super creamy, savory, layered with flavor and the perfectamount of heat from the jalapeños. These folks KNOW what they are doing I the kitchen!! You will not be disappointed. Read more

Everything we have eaten here has just been spectacular! The Hog heaven mac and cheese is decadent, the chicken fried steak is... one of the best in the area, and the deserts were wonderful (chocolate and carrot cake). Oh and for an appetizer we had thezucchini fries and fired mushrooms. Talk about fresh and so flavorful. The Painted Horse has a great atmosphere, very goodservice staff, and prompt bar service. If you are in the area, I strongly suggest stopping there for a meal. You will come outfull and happy! Read more

Outstanding on all counts! Friendly (yet unobtrusive) service, clean and comfortable dining area, upbeat atmosphere, extensive... menu of dishes made with premium ingredients. This place is awesome. Lunch for two (2 entrees, 2 teas, 1 appetizer, 1 pearcider) including tip cost around $70 but that's partially due to our choices being on the upper end of the price spectrum. Wehave to drive 90minutes to get to Painted Horse, but we think it's worth the trip. We'll be back as often as is practical. Read more

This place was recommended to me by someone I talked to in the airport. I decided to order the pot roast, mashed potatoes and... seasonal veggies. It was good but overly salted. The potatoes were super salty along with the gravy. I also order water all thetime when I eat, there was no bottle water to order and I'm not from the area and didn't know that the water and anything madewith it was going to taste like oil and gas. I ordered a lemonade, same thing. I finally decided on a glass of wine because ineeded something to drink to wash down the salt. So if you are just visiting I would bring bottles of water with you to anyrestaurants. I loved the names that some of the food was named. I thought that was different. Read more

Amazing steak! Cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. I was very impressed. The sides were delicious, Brussel sprouts and... the potatoes went perfectly. The filet was wrapped in bacon which I was not expecting but it went well with it. Service wasgreat and the place was clean and good atmosphere. Will look forward to coming back. Read more

Stopped for lunch on a Saturday (along with most of the town). Filled with locals which is always encouraging! Sampled lots of... yummy stuff: ribeye, mushroom burger, Mac and cheese, and the beer cheese dip. Highlights: $4 beer specials, all local beerstoo. Atmosphere. Quality of meat was incredible. Prices and quantity, come hungry! Lowlights: service was a bit slow (butgood!), long wait on food, and dining room was freezing. Read more
