We ordered takeout. I talked to Steve(the manager) on the phone regarding ingredients due to food sensitivities/allergies. He... was extremely helpful and they were very conscientious regarding allergies. I was able to enjoy my dinner without worry. Thesteak was medium rare just the way I asked for it. Very nice staff they kept checking up to make sure we were doing okay and liking everything. my husband and I both had a 10 oz... sirloin with loaded potato and mushroom skewers it was so good! Cooked perfectly how we asked for. The drinks were alsoexcellent . Will definitely be returning next time we are in town! Read more
First off Montana's 6 out of five stars. My husband and I had a wedding reception here in 2020 and it was amazing such home... feeling staff was great the food was awesome they catered to us they even did a set menu that they went over with us and becausewe had our wedding reception here we actually had a commercial based on hometown incidences and if you Google Montana's weddingI believe where the bride has bouquet flowers and it lands on the service plate that's based on our wedding reception that wehad and was the very first ever out of Montana's Barrie South Montana's is number one over anywhere we love them and they are goto place to eat Read more
Service was good, went there with a party of 2 my first time. Party of 4 second time. Service was better for party of 4. Food... was good. The steak was dry/chewy, and ribs had more bone than I’m used to. Quesadillas were good, the plating for them wasattractive. Everything else was very tasty, even the skillet mushrooms, and I am not a mushroom fan. Dessert was delicious. Notmy first choice of restaurant in Barrie, but I might go again. Read more
4 of us came in for beer and wings last night for their annual free pound of wings night. Wait wasn't bad, they will seat you... asap and girls up front were on the ball. Wings are scrumptious, perfectly breaded, crunchy, and right amount of sauce thatmakes you salivate for more. Nothing like good bones and sauce???? Speaking of bones, this place has amazing ribs aswell Someone from head office came around to check in on us and that was nice and encouraged us to write a review on what wewould like to see, so here it is. I gave them 4 stars only because everytime we come in the service is disappointing, they lackthe friendliness and always approach us with the same set routine that comes off inattentive. Driving my father-in-law home from up north, we stopped in Barrie for a quick dinner with an hour and a half left in the drive... as it was after 6 pm. Montana's is usually very consistent and reliable., so we thought we would take our first restaurantexperience in two years at Montana's on Bayview Drive, off Maple View. About 6:12 we were told the wait would be an out 20-25minutes to be seated. And about 6:35 we were on the patio and a short time after giving our drink orders, which came right away.That was the last we saw if the staff for another 20 minutes. Time ticked by, and after An hour after being seated went by withno one returning to ask if we needed anything, etc, I was ready to leave, announcing ten more minutes and we will leave and findan alternative along the remainder of the trip. The person clearing the table adjacent to us probably overheard me, as she wentinside a moment later before returning to finish clearing the table. Our meals arrived only a minute under the wire. I was justreaching for my sunglasses and wallet and starting to explain it was time to go. 7:44 pm After bringing out the dinners, I wasasked if we needed anything else, so I asked for the cheque right away so we would not be left waiting again. I realise therestaurant service industry has struggled for the last two years and there is a staff shortage, but keeping people waiting forthat long without even an acknowledgement or forwarding of the wait time for kitchen service is not a way to encourage returningcustomers. I just love this place. We always eat here and I always order the BBQ steak rib. I couldn't eat the whole thing as usual I had... to take my left overs home with me . I love the staff, they are friendly and always have time for a little chat. Last time Iwent, I ordered the fish and chips. It was delicious, but next visit it will have to be the BBQ steak rib.
