cupCAKE used to be our go-to cake shop before we discovered @my_naked_cake which quickly became our new favourite. The cake was... firm but moist with excellent crumb structure. The buttercream frosting was also the best in the area. They actually made thebest carrot cake I had ever had with a nicely balanced frosting made with just the right amount of cream cheese. The customerservice was always sort of mixed but I always had great service when dealing with Judith directly. The vibe is nice for a shopthat sells treats as well. It had been a while since we got treats from cupCAKE so we decided to get a few cupcakes andcookies. I?m not sure what happened but everything was terrible. The cupcakes were small, dry and lacked flavour. The carrotcake that was once perfectly moist with pineapple chunks was much different. It?s almost as if they switched to boxedcake. Favourite cupcake store in Barrie! Staff are kind and receptive. It?s best to order custom items ahead of time, they book up... quickly with orders. Cupcakes are baked fresh, going in the morning/afternoon is best so you can get fresh product before itsells out. Would recommend to friends and family! Read more
