I've been here a handful of times. Burgers and fries have always been my go-to, the Woody's hot rod and the bacon-cheddar... burgers are the ones I typically get. Mushroom and Swiss is good but not earth-shattering. The steak sandwich was pretty good;not overcooked. Fries have always been perfectly crispy, no salt added which is nice so you can salt to your tastes. I tried oneof the chimney cakes and it wasn't my thing. Just a giant, cream-filled cinnamon-sugar pastry. The menu mentioned other flavorsthat sounded better, but when I was there it was basically just what they had in a refrigerated case. I did try a chickentenders once and they were awful, basically what you find in the frozen food aisle at any grocery store. Maybe they're betternow, but I'll just stick to one of the burgers. Atmosphere is a bit goofy, caricatures of celebrities are all over the place.Service is always pretty good. The dining room is separated from the adjoining gas station by a metal gate so if the gas stationis busy it gets noisy. This is a solid 3.5 stars place, rounded up since it's a place I'd recommend. Well this was an interesting little diner. I had reservations when I found out it was attached to a gas station. But I was... pleasantly surprised to find out it is locally owned and operated. I got the chicken Philly sandwich with fries. The chickenwas well cooked and smothered in a generous helping of mushrooms and peppers then topped of with a gooey cheese. It was packedwith flavor! My only real gripe is the fries were excellent but there were so few of them. I was long out of fries by the timemy sandwich was gone. As a side note they don't serve alcohol and I found myself really wishing for a beer during my dinner. Iguess I could have popped over to the gas station part for one but I don't think they would have allowed me back in to drink it. Read more

Don't order the hashbrowns. They're always old, and dry, and tasteless. One bite and I'm done.. twice. And I'm not super... picky. Yummy pancakes. Patty melt over cooked and dry. Really good biscuit and gravy. Fried mushrooms very good. Read more

I was apprehensive about this place because it's in a gas station parking lot attached to a convenience store. However I trusted... the reviews and have it a shot. I was not disappointed, the menu was diverse, the service was awesome and grilled spicy chickensandwich was awesome. Bonus you can breakfast sides with your sandwich so I got hash browns which were also excellent. Thisplace is not upscale fancy dining, but that's not what it's billed as. Great little diner with good food. Read more

Stopped in to give them another chance since the first couple times we visited we weren?t impressed.. should?ve stuck with my... gut. Dirty tables, slow service due to short staffing, and my favorite part.. canned (fake) eggs. Not much has changed fromwhen they opened.. I rarely snub my nose to food, but neither me or my daughter ate much that morning. Th e bacon was goodthough! Burgers might be worth it. The decor is cute and it?s a local business. Read more

This place is a gem in your area! Yeah yeah it's a gas station dinner. But, and I Say a Big BUT. One of the best dinners in the... st.louis region. It is family owned. She get her bread from the best place, her poultry from only the best place. And most ofall her desserts are made to top you off. The wings have a homemade sauce that will one day win a competition. Again I drove 40minutes for this place, and would always be happy to go any time. Thank you Tiffany for giving us this place south of Arnold. Yeah go past Arnold for this! Read more

We Pulled in to get gasoline at the station attached to this unusual stop. I was hungry and was hoping to find an all beef hot... dog that had rolled around on the warmer until it was slightly crispy outside, without luck. Among Further exploration I foundan Sherwood's to be a diner with some very cool caricature art. An odd but mix of celebrities on various sized canvases thatmade intriguing fun decor. So entertaining it was a few mins before I spotted another item unique to me. This looked similar toa large creme horn, big enough for two and came in a variety of appealing favors. As one who loves sweets and foreign to theirexistence I immediately purchased one in cheesecake flavor for the hubby and I to split. I thought they only sold these until Inoticed a couple eating non sweet items. We checked the menu out, finding typical diner type foods with full menu all day anddecided to give it a shot. The lady working was super friendly and informative and they more than satisfied my craving for adecent hot dog. I've never seen a chili dog with the girth of the beast they sat before me after a short wait. It was so fillingI couldn't handle the free side of fries that came with it. If I had known I would not have had them add chili and cheese tothem, but I was still impressed as was the husband. Great place to fill up both the tank and the tummy. Read more
