Reviews for Piata Greek Kitchen in Bardonia, NY
YUMMMMMM! Had the hummus with pita - garlic-licious! Pita was fresh, warm and plentiful; chicken souvlaki platter - the chicken... was tender with a delicious marinade, the rice was fluffy and seasoned well, the grilled veggies were perfectly cooked; themoussaka was fantastique *chef's kiss* - the potatoes were tender, the eggplant was delectable, the meat was flavored withexquisitely chosen spices and what seemed to be the warmth of the Grecian sun, the bechamel was pure, creamy delight - this dishhad love in every bite! We appreciated that the food is made with real ingredients. We finished with the baklava which had tonsof walnuts, a crunchy top and honeyed insides. This is one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I will definitely returnand wished I lived closer. Highly recommend. I hope the owner reads this review: thank you! Read more
Portions are HUGE, I was not expecting that. Gyro platter was amazing
Gluten free skewers pork tenderloins with rice & veggies ! Delicious.
I went here on a limb because I love blue fig and district 96... sad to say I was let DOWN! I picked up a gyro platter to go... just to realize they had forgot the pita bread. My quinoa salad with salmon was a joke. It tastes good but the $6 salmon is halfof the portion at any other Greek place. When I called they were friendly and offered to deliver the pita bread. As far as thesalmon goes they said they were aware and had asked the manager about changing the portion sizes. Sorry... I would not go hereever again for both of these issues. I will be glad to take myself and my money elsewhere for an enjoyable Greek experience. Read more
LOVE this place. I always get the Greek Salad (a few times a week) but everything is fresh. Definitely give it a try.
Came with friends because they frequent the place... the table comfortably seated the five of us, the decor was nice... but, it... must have been an off night because the server was distracted, the table was slightly dirty and two empty plates were dirty aswell. I get my same plate back ( it had a black dot blemish on it and, it appeared as if a quick swipe of a cloth was done, smudged fingerprints in the center of the plate were still there)... to avoid spit in my food, I decided to clean it myself withthe additional napkins on the table. The beef skewers were salty and dry. The chicken skewers were moist, however over salted. Iliked the vegetable skewer the most. The garlic overpowered the hummus appetizer. The desserts were fair, however, they aced theyogurt and fruit. The overall impression I got was; this is how we do things here, if you don't like it, we won't miss you. Read more
