THE BEST RIBS I'VE EVER HAD! It's a little pricey, but in my opinion, it's worth every single penny. The fried okra is... definitely a must every time the wife and I stop in as well. Friendly staff and great food. Only BBQ place I'll spend my moneyat! Whether you're a local, new to the area, or just driving through on your way to the OBX, I'd highly recommend y'all stop inand grab some of the best BBQ around! Read more

I absolutely love Currituck BBQ Company. I don't get to come here as often as I'd like, as we live almost an hour away, but my... husband and I try to come here at least once a year. We made the trip today, and it was phenomenal as always. The pulled androtisserie chicken is always melt in your mouth, and pairs great with the yellow SC sauce. The brisket is some of my favorite, and goes wonderfully with the tangy brisket sauce, and you can't go wrong with their true pork NC BBQ and red pepper vinegar. Ialso have to say, the hushpuppies that come with the meals are so good. The staff is always super friendly, the portions arelarge, and even when the restaurant is slammed, the ticket times are quick. If you are looking for actual NC BBQ, and Southernsides this is the spot to check out. I highly recommend Currituck BBQ Company. Read more

Heard a lot of hype. Fast ticket times, friendly staff. Food was... mixed. On the BBQ mix platter ($18) the pork BBQ was very... dry, the beef brisket is shredded, not sliced (it was better than the pork). BBQ sandwiches for rest of family ($11 with 2sides, each) were good, fries and sweet potatoes were amazing. Bottom line...good, not great, but very pricey...for thesandwiches definitely worth it, just skip the platter. Read more

Stopped by for dinner with my husband. Good prices and our food came within a minute. The young blonde girl up front was very... nice as well. I am happy to say the food was delicious. I had the beef brisket and it was tender and smoky. Loved the sides aswell. 5 stars! Read more

I have always heard that the best barbecue places are in little towns out in the middle of nowhere. And must have a big pig on... the sign or the building. This little down home road side restaurant is no exception. I am still getting used to the vinegarbased bbq. But this is one of the best is the the northern corner of North Carolina near Elizabeth city and the outer banks. Theportions are plentiful and reasonably priced. The pork and brisket are both great. Along with they have an assortment of saucesto choose from to sample with your meal. Also each one can be purchased to take home. The Currituck BBQ Company seems verypopular with locals and travelers. Read more

I purchased a family meal which consisted of two meats, two sides, 8 buns and some sauce. It was more than enough for our family... of 4 and priced just right! The BBQ was amazing as well as the brisket! Can't wait to get back down there again! Great customerservice also! Definitely give them a try! I don't think you'll be disappointed! Read more

First time visiting this BBQ restaurant on on trip to OBX. We received a very warm welcome by a very friendly and professional... staff. You can seat inside but the seating outside, I think is much better since there's a lot more room and places to seat. The place was very clean and the food was reasonable priced. Everything from pull brisket, sweet potatoes, ribs, and green beancasserole, I can go on and on. If you come here, your gonna lick your fingers and I don't blame you, It's that tasty. Read more

Sheila and I dined at Currituck BBQ Company for lunch today, and we found it to be about the best North Carolina barbecue we had... ever tasted. Not only was her barbecue chicken dinner delicious, my pulled pork barbecue sandwich crowned with reallyfirst-class cole slaw on a bun that did not fall apart or become sodden as I ate it would have been worth substantially more byitself than Currituck BBQ Company charged?yet both dinner and sandwich came each with two sides! Both of us chose fried okra asone of our sides; Sheila chose fresh beets as her other side, and I had the potato salad. Portions were quite generous?we askedfor boxes to bring much of it home, and bought an extra pound of the pork barbecue to share with our son Chris when we got hometo Virginia. I see many reviewers have been here before me and have already raved at how friendly all the employees are, howspotless the restaurant is, how perfectly and attractively prepared EACH ITEM (including the hush puppies that came withSheila?s plate) IS. As I grew up in Raleigh, I can only tell you that this experience, which happened to fall on May 10, 2022,our 47th Wedding Anniversary, actually carried me back to the fine cooking I was enjoying seventy years ago in North Carolina?sCapital City, and I was very proud that chefs at Currituck BBQ Company were maintaining so well what I consider a preciousheritage. Incidentally, Currituck BBQ Company was awarded a ?Best of Currituck? Award in 2021?I doubt it was the first time?butit shows that even their friends and neighbors recognize their worth in and to the community. Well done, all of you! Read more
