Reviews for Al. Ringling Brewing Co. in Baraboo, WI
Went here for octoberfest. The building is amazing and most of the staff were very kind and enjoyable. I look forward to coming... here when an event isn't happening. Highly recommend the 'stay puff' porter. It's sooo good! Read more
If you are familiar with the area you know this place will have a circus theme. I had no idea what to expect when I visited. ... They definitely have circus decor but this is a huge bar and I would bet they have Octoberfest events here. They had rock musicand sports center on so don't worry circus music. They have 17 of their beers on tap with IPAs, porter, stout, red, cream, fruits, etc. I thought all the beer was decent with some unique flavors. Next time I think I will try drinking in there beergarden. Read more
Such a cool building with great artifacts. Great looking beer hall. Food and drink ordering is a bit confusing. Also, if it is... busy just be prepared to wait, and wait some more. Only two bartenders on and the place was packed. The beeron the other handwas pretty middle of the road. Meh ??????? Read more
Awesome stop on our road trip home to Kenosha - only reason it is not 5 stars is that they were out of beer cheese soup - a main... reason for this choice. But the beef and veggie empanadas were amazing - we liked the Irish Red. Cheese curds were ok. Theambiance makes this place the Greatest Brewery on Earth for sure. Read more
As first time guests, we wished the initial experience walking in would have been better. There was no one available to tell us... how to order anything, and we had to ask another couple how the ordering process worked. To sum it up, you walk in and setup atab (easiest way) at the Pie Car and order your food first. While your food is being prepared you order drinks at the bar underyour name. Overall a decent experience, but they could be more organized. The beer and food were great. Read more
I happened to be in Baraboo and I was hungry, so I decided to eat lunch at the Al Ringling Brewery. Once there I couldn't help... but notice that the building had a really nice older feel to it. The building was large, made of brick, and had kind of a"grand" feel to it. The inside was nice and seemed very historical as you could just tell that there was history there. Orderswere taken up front at the counter, but then you were free to sit where ever you wanted. Originally I was unsure what to order,as all of the food on the menu sounded good. Fortunately my server was a very nice older lady named Mary Anne and she had a fewrecommendations for me as to what some of her favorites were. Thanks to her I decided on an order of Asadito Pork Skewers andthree different flavored Empanadas. All of the food was amazing! I did not have a single thing that I did not enjoy. The porkskewers were seasoned with lemon, garlic, and cumin. They were grilled on a skewer with onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers. Theskewers also came with a special green dipping sauce known as Chimichurri sauce. Now I am not sure exactly what was in thisChimichurri sauce, but it had a wonderful sweet and tangy flavor that was hard to describe. This sauce accented the skewersperfectly and made for a wonderful flavor pallette. The dish was also served with fried Yuca which taste just like potatoes. There was also a side of Chipaguasu, which is something I have never had before. The Chipaguasu was basically made from corn buthad a taste and texture very similar to sweet potatoes. Finally there was a side of their traditional cabbage salad, which wasbasically a different take on coleslaw. (The coleslaw as I will call it) was very tangy and vinegary. It was a slightlydifferent take from the run of the mill sweet coleslaw that you usually run into in these parts. That being said, I enjoyed itvery much. As for the three empanadas, I ordered a Garlic Shrimp Empanada. An Argentinian Beef empanada, and Read more
Stopped in last week on a road trip with my husband. Everyone was really friendly. Our bartender was attentive and very... knowledgeable. We didn't have much time, so we didn't eat or tour the mansion. However, the food smelled amazing! We shared amustache flight and both agreed that our favorite brew was the original historic Ringling family recipe. I frequented CircusWorld when I was a child, so the atmosphere brought back a lot of fond memories. Such a fun place to stop on our little roadtrip! Read more
