Reviews for The Looking Glass Restaurant in Bar Harbor, ME
What a great find. A waiter we had for dinner the night before recommended the Looking Glass for breakfast and it did not... disappoint. Friendly you wait staff, good food and an absolutely stunning view of the harbor! (Not to mention avoiding thecrowds of downtown Bar Harbor) Could not have found a better spot. Read more
It's a great spot if you want to start your day with a view. This is a breakfast restaurant inside Wonder Inn Hotel in Bar... Harbor. Outdoor seating could be troublesome because the umbrellas are not doing much in the mornings since they are not tilted.I enjoyed my breakfast bowl with corned beef, carrots, cabbage, homefries and eggs. Overall, the items on the menu seemsoverpriced. The ambiance is soothing but the service was lacking. Read more
Had breakfast 3 times during our stay at the bluenose inn. The food was great and we had pretty much all of the options the... menu has to offer. The staff was nice and helpful Read more
Had the potato skillet with tofu: vegan-friendly! Finally a dish in Bar Harbor that is big enough to fill me up! There were a... lot of potatoes and veggies. It wasn't the most spectacular dish - I wish the potatoes and veggies were more flavorful - butthat's what salt, pepper, and hot sauce are for! I also had the veggie sausage, which was ok, and a fruit bowl. Fruit was onpoint: nice and fresh! And great service with a great view! Read more
Amazing food, with an amazing view. What else you can ask for early in the morning! The best place in town for breakfast ????

Don't EAT here. Just get coffee and enjoy the view. You are truly just paying for the view. Think of it like a free holiday inn... express breakfast (served on paper plates), but you have to pay $40. -- Super expensive for what you get. You get microwavedfood served on paper plates for extreme prices. $11 for premade microwaved pancakes. -- The eggs were fine. It's very hard tomess up eggs. -- The toast wasn't the least bit crispy, just slightly warm bread. -- The pancakes tasted like they have beenmade hours prior and microwaved. Super gluey and they gave us the wrong kind. -- It all came out on paper plates (would be noissue if the cost was less) -- You had to clean up after yourself (totally fine, but why ask for a tip then?) You are trulypaying for the view. Save your wallet some pain and just get coffee and enjoy the view. If it's not foggy the view is nice. Verywarm with the sun beating down on you, but nice nonetheless. I would have no problem with the prices if the food was good. AndI would have no problem with the food if it had waffle house prices. Pick one. Read more
We had a delicious breakfast here in early September and the view was gorgeous. Servers were attentive and even with food being... a bit slow to arrive from the kitchen it was worth the wait. Try the breakfast tacos if you have a big appetite. They werefabulous. Read more
