We had takeout from the Downeast Deli. The turkey sandwich was really good. Bread was super fresh, and thicker sliced turkey was... delicious. Even the mustard and mayo were good!! Sandwich came with Lays chips, my fav. You can't go wrong getting a sandwichfrom here! Read more
Came here and got the clam chowder, lobster roll and blueberry pie lunch set for $35. Clam chowder was delicious. Lots of clams... and creamy but not too heavy. Lobster roll was okay. Blueberry pie was good. We also got the lobster stew. It had at least 6pieces of whole lobster claws in it. But the stew itself was too oily for our taste so probably wouldn't get it again. Overall,service was friendly and efficient. Pricing was market priced so I guess fair. Would return to try their other sandwiches asthey did look pretty good. Read more

Excellent deli. Great menu selections, quick friendly service. And they have Pepsi products, my favorite. We had the chicken... bacon ranch wrap, it was excellent, very large portion. Benches right out front to sit and eat under a shade tree. There arealso lobster rolls, public parking right near by. You are close to the water so you can take your lunch down on the lawn andwatch the boats in the harbor. Read more
If you make only one stop in Bar Harbor for food I'd make it here. The Lunch Delight Special (lobster roll, clam chowder,... blueberry pie) is not only a great value but gives you many of the flavors of Maine in one stop. One of the top lobster rolls Iate among the 7+ (lol) that I had during my time in Maine. Read more
Stopped in for lunch and had an incredible experience. The service was fast and friendly, with me being handed my sandwich... almost before my friend finished paying for his. I got the Italian, and it was an excellent iteration of the sandwich. I reallyappreciated the thought that went into the toppings. The green peppers and olives were chopped so you don't take a bit andeither pull all of the toppings with it or have half of them fall out. I wish I was local so that I could visit more frequently.Hopefully I'll make it back to the area to eat here again. Read more
The lobster roll was extremely small. Finished it in 4 bits. I am holding it in my hand for comparison. Was left feeling cheated... as I ate mostly bread and very little lobster. Do not recommend this place. When it came to the lobster taste it was okay. If Iwere to compare it with iconic lobster roll places like Bit into Maine I would say it is nowhere close and do not eat thelobster roll at the deli. Read more
