We had an excellent meal at Stonewalls! I came here for my birthday and everything from start to finish was delicious. The... French onion soup came with actual scissors to cut through the layer of cheese, my steak was cooked perfectly, and the moltenchocolate cake for dessert was super tasty. The service was phenomenal too - Reagan, our waitress, was very attentive andpleasant to talk to. They also have a nice outdoor area with a fire pit. We came in a large group and had 2 very professional and friendly waiters. They did a great job with service and getting us... everything we needed. The overall food seemed over priced for the quality of flavor and tenderness of the steaks. Theappetizers were excellent especially the calamari and stuffed mushrooms. The salad bar was very nice too. We ordered thesalmon special that night and it was just ok. The Ribeye steaks were all cooked to the correct temperature but were very toughand chewy with minimal seasoning. The prime rib was a big hit with some of our group as well as the NY strip. Read more
Absolutely wonderful restaurant with great staff. Call ahead for a reservation. We didn't and they still fit us in... We ordered... 2 appetizers, stuffed mushrooms and fried deviled eggs, side salads for both, I ordered a steak that was perfect, with onionsand mushrooms on the side and a loaded baked potato, he ordered shrimp and (steak or chicken) alfredo. Great place for a date night. It was our first time being there and the waitress we had was awesome. The food was so good.... Definitely a nice cozy place and well worth the hour drive. Definitely listen to reviews and get the fried deviled eggs. Alsocrab cake appetizer was phenomenal for my first time eating crab. The pork chop was better then the steak! Whatever sayce/gravythey use on it, it made the entire meal for me! If you are ever in the Banner Elk/Boone area, definitely give this place a try! Read more
Updated decor is fabulous. Mountain rustic meets restoration hardware. Atmosphere fantastic! Appetizers, drinks and soup were... delicious. The cocktail sauce on the shrimp was perfect! Our dinners (pork chop and grilled honey ginger shrimp) were good butwe wouldn't order them again. No honey ginger flavor on the shrimp and the pork chop was ok. Definitely recommend thisrestaurant, will come back, but we will try another entree. Read more
