Owners and workers are very nice. Food is really good. The street corn is the best I've ever eaten!

We had a wonderful experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and kind! We went for my cousins?s birthday and enjoyed yummy... margaritas, empanadas, Yuka fries, brussel sprouts (the sauce was next level!) tostones, fish tacos, cubano, and chickenfricassee. Everything was incredible! Then at the end we had key lime pie! We will definitely come back here next time we are inBanner Elk! Read more

Ugh where to begin. We stopped here after touring the college because of the reviews. Big mistake. We spent nearly $100, for 2... -4 inch empanadas filled with mostly vegetables. My wife's fish tacos had nugget sized pieces of fish on them with what lookedlike coleslaw. My daughters and mine shrimp tacos had 3 shrimp on them. My wife's brussel sprouts were burnt and they figuredyou'd dip them in their spicy mayo sauce to mask the taste. What a disappointment. My younger 2 daughters had Cubans whichtasted like regular yellow American mustard and white American cheese on them. The best thing we ate from there was their fries, but it's kind of hard to screw up french fries. Well we would have been better off going to McDonald's in Boone for $50 to eatthan wasting our hard earned money. Read more

We both ordered the Cubans, one with street corn, one with fries. The Cuban was beautiful. The pork was just slightly over... cooked but absolutely delicious. Not an overbearing amount of pickles and mustard combined with some good quality ham. Thesandwich was delicious! The fries were hot, crispy, and properly salted. The street corn was bright, fresh, and flavorful. Read more

This was my first visit to Bodega kitchen. The smell when you walk in is divine. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked with... toilet paper. Service was friendly but very slow. Lunch took about an hour. We sat for about 20 minutes before our order wastaken. The server did apologize and comped our black bean soup. We also had the vegetable bowl and southwest salad withgrilled shrimp. All of the food was delicious. The black bean soup was a generous portion and very good! Both of our mainmeals were enough food but seemed a small portion for the price. My husband got the beer on tap and he really enjoyed it. Withtip our bill was a little over $50. One other little thing is that they use these small glasses for water. Overall will visitagain because I hope the slow service was an anomaly. Read more

I like coming here when visiting my daughter going to school near here. The portions are not to large and the atmosphere is... great on the covered deck. I love the black beans and rice. Read more

A very overdue review of our favorite restaurant in Banner Elk! Everything on the menu is delicious and the fresh made... margaritas are a must. Paul and his staff always treat us like family and we can?t wait to come back every time. Paul was niceenough to let us celebrate our wedding reception on the back patio, which is our favorite feature of the restaurant. We had anabsolute blast and all of our guests loved it. We?re constantly recommending Bodega?s to friends and family that visit the area.Cheers Read more
