Reviews for Las Palapas Mexican Restaurant in Bangor, ME
Very fast service, good food, great prices. First time I went there I almost turned around and left (and probably would have... never returned) because I and at least 8 other patrons stood there for a good 15 minutes waiting to be sat, even though itclearly wasn't very busy. The hostess finally came over, muttered "oh ****" under her breath then proceeded to rudely serve allof us. Thankfully I was patient because after that everything was great. Our server was great, food was SO fast. Like McDonald'sfast. Kinda freaky. And everything was delicious. Plenty of vegetarian options. I asked for a modification on one to make itvegan. It was very delicious. I think I'll be a regular of theirs now. Just hope not to run into that hostess again. Read more
I am in town for work and stayed at the comfort inn next door. After getting some recommendations from the employees at the shop... I am working at they told me I had to try Las Palapas. I am very glad I did. I have traveled extensively throughout the US andMexico. I was just talking to my wife about it and after 2 visits I can say this is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the US.The tacos al pastor are FIRE. Perfectly seasoned, perfect amount of pineapple, nice spicy salsa - 10/10. The staff is veryattentive and pleasant. I will be in bangor in October and will definitely be coming back. Read more

Food was great, service was great. I was shocked to see a patron sitting at the bar, with a small dog on her lap, feeding the... pup off the bar. If it was a true service dog it would not be up at the table, it would've patiently waiting at her feet. Read more
Heard good things but the food was very average. Best part we?re the chips queso and salsa. Bonus if you stay at the comfort inn... you do get a discount but still high prices for somewhat normal food nothing spectacular. Service was slower felt like I had toget up and find out server a few times just for chips or more drinks. We had the steak platters one with shrimp one withmushrooms. The meat was thin and not very tender. Didn?t know what to fully expect for Mexican in the north east but I?d sayaverage spot. 3/5. Read more
First time at thus location and it will cause me to return. They have a huge menu, but once you get the chance to read thru it,... yes its 6 pages, you soon find more items than you can possibly eat in one setting. My fist impression was very good.... Read more
