Menu for Royal Canadian Lodge in Banff, AB

Great hotel. Loved the location and housekeeping everyday. There are closer options to town but this is great as it?s only a... short walk and the bus stop is right out the front for those further journeys. All staff were super nice, always greeting uswhen we left or arrived and asking about our day. The restaurant is nice although has some more abstract options, nothingsimple, but again town is very close so you can go there for meals. Read more

The good; the hotel was tastefully decorated, great pool area and clean room with robes. Unfortunately the bed was so hard and... the pillows also very firm we got very little sleep and both left with sore backs/necks. This was very disappointing consideringthis was suppose to be a relaxing get away and we just spent money on relaxation massages. We were looking forward to a goodsleep. For the price I expected a much better sleep. I wouldn't go back or recommend this hotel because of this. Read more

What makes this place special and different from others? The employees are so personable, all of them. I didn?t even get out the... car and the concierge Neal was at my car window saving me some steps and opening up the guardrail to go ahead and pull in. Nealgoes that extra mile and that?s nice to see, he loves his job and it shows. Sebastian & Olivia were our evening entertainmentevery evening - ?? those 2. Everyone that works there goes out of their way to assist; ex. the hot apple cider. All positive. Iwas very impressed with the people but the cleanliness of the lodge was not unnoticed. The fireplace gets cleaned DAILY! Theonly thing negative I seen was the evening concierge didn?t get his hands out his pockets all evening. Tall, dark hair/facialhair fellow, wore glasses - He didn?t acknowledge anyone that come through the door, he allowed cars to build up in the drivewayand it was sad to watch him take full advantage over the owner of RC. He stayed by his podium looking at his laptop as if he wasworking. He wasn?t working, it was basketball of some sort on the screen. He definitely shouldn?t be in front of thelodge. Beds were comfortable, temperature in room was easy to control, the shower was magnificent, the window was a workingwindow and I was able to let the smell of the pines into the room. My family and I came here for a couple nights last October. The food was good and the room we stayed was very comforting. The... servers at the restaurant were very friendly and the pool area was clean and delightful! We?ll definitely consider coming backhere. Great hotel! Read more

Exceptional customer service, spacious rooms and good location. The few things I wish the hotel had was a coffee shop or a... place to get coffee in the morning. The closest place is a 5 minute walk. The room does have a coffee machine. There is nowater refill station. However the front desk did give me water bottles whenever I asked. They also had some ice water in theLobby during the day. We never had a hard time finding a parking spot which was nice. The rooms were clean and the service wasgreat. Read more
