Fire & fire is a wonderful place to sit down and relax after a day walking around banff. Come inside to warm up next to the... fireplace and with the warm spirited workers. Food was delicious during breakfast, lunch and dinner while we stayed at Elk &Avenue. They also have a happy hour from 4 to 5 PM and 8 PM with 50% off pizza and drinks. My best friend and I went for dinner last night and we were pleasantly surprised. They were very accommodating with my gluten... allergy, the service was wonderful and our water very nice. We ordered Cabernet, corn chowder, brussel sprouts, chicken, mashedpotatoes, carrots and parsnips and cabbage salad. Great place for good food. Modern decor, friendly service. Great location, easy to find. Happy hour had half price pizzas,... but the one we got was completely burned on the bottom :( The waiter did apologize but wasn't quick to resolve the problem. Myfriend was so hungry, that he ate it anyways, and we didn't want to get another one made, as we would've have to wait longer. If he wasn't hungry, I think he would've returned it for a new one. I did not expect all the food to be served at once, and we had the steak together with an appetizer. But all the food was... delicious, and the best part was having the Strawberry Ricotta. It was so good!!! I definitely would come back to try theirbrunch. Read more

This place was amazing! For the price of food and drinks, I would recommend other to come check it out. The server here was... awesome, they were polite and helpful when questioned on different types of foods on their menu. Sadly I wanted to try theirwood oven pizza, but was told they only serve that for lunch. Next time I come down, I will check them out again for their lunchmenu. Interesting bowls that we all enjoyed but weren't wowed for the price. The Banana cream french toast sounded incredible on the... menu but was quite the let down. It was a big log of dryness with not much cream. Service was fine. The decor is a littlepretentious as it's inside a hotel, so it was nice and upscale but wasn't cosy. Read more

Delicious food. Everything we ordered had interesting and had balanced flavors. Except the grilled chicken which was quite... boring, but I'm sure some might enjoy a plain meal too. The Duck fat layered crunchy potatoes are exquisite. Their non alcoholicdrink menu is super fun. I got a coconut cream pie type drink and it was so good. Well timed and efficient service. Wow! What a great experience. Amanda was so kind and nice and took care of us so well. The dishes were just fantastic! We tried... so many restaurants in Banff during our stay but this brunch was the highlight. So delicious and reasonably priced. Greatatmosphere and location too.
