My mind was blown away when I first stepped in into this ramen place, the lady running the whole shop all by herself alone!!... (Taking orders, cooking, serving, washing dish) It?s not easy!! I tried the Shio-paitan and my friends tried the Shoyu-paitanand the miso tan-tan. The broth was sooooooo good, I felt so warm and cozy especially after the visit to the Banff Gondola. Ialso had the nikumiso-kimchi bowl, it was a bit expensive while it?s only a small bowl of rice ($13.80) compare to a bowl oframen ($17.80) But it?s tasty. I didn?t get the chance to try the beer, they are all Japan imports, I might want to try the YuzuLager if I get the chance again. *last tips* Don?t go in with big groups, 4 is maxed. And please be patient for being seatedsince it?s a ?One-Man-Show?. Read more

The ramen was not good at all. We ordered two bowls and both had no flavor. The pork was hard and the noodles were so chewy. We... took a few bites and couldn't even finish. If you want good ramen, go to Ramen Arashi. Their ramen is way better. Read more

Amazing comfort food! The ramen broth is creamy, dense, and delicious. The noodles are chewy and cooked perfectly. Portion size... is decent for the price and the takeout packaging is nice and tidy. The interior is quite small with just a few seats availableas it?s a ramen noodle bar. A great place to enjoy a hot noodle bowl on a cold day. Check this out! Read more

I just noticed that the price has gone up several times during a year as I looked at the reviews and it was even raised by a... month ago. So I leave a picture of the menu for your convenience. I understand its in BANFF but still too pricy. Taste wasokay, and rice was high quality but the food portion was too little (especially rice bowl) and price was so high. They willcharge you every single toppings other than the very basic stuffs. If you wanna eat like the reviewed ramen picture, you willhave to add tamago and extra charsiu which will bump ur ramen price about $10 more for toppings. (+) I didnt want to reply theowner's reply but, 1. I get that the cost is gone up and understand the place is too small to have more people at a time, Butsimply look around other businesses in banff. Is this place the ONLY business that is impacted cost problem? We all havestruggled with it, and I dont know how much you struggle i believe that there is a reason. So people who think it is reasonable, they will still go. But in my personal opinion, if you want to make your customers carry the burden, your food should bespecialized and high quality with real authentic taste but it was not. I tried so mamy different ramen places even in Japan, butin my opinion, it was good but not worthy with the price. 2. This is the REVIEW that I have wanted to know before visit theplace. Price was not the same, toppings are all extra which is no one mentioned. I think it is good to know so I wrote it andleave the picture of menu. 3. Dont make me an ignorant and inconsiderate person because I wrote about the price. This is how Ifeel, and seems like some other people felt the same way. Market is all mess about demand and supply. Find it a little hard to locate as there?s no signage outside.. it has a little space inside a establishment. But it?s all worth... it. Satisfied my ramen cravings after a cold winter activity. Probably the best ramen there is in Banff. It?s clean and servicewas fast. When I?ll come back to Banff I will definitely try some more of their ramen in the menu!!! Read more

1/28/22: Today was very cold and having ramen this delicious made it wonderful. There was two of us. Only 4 at the bar when we... arrived. Bar sits about 12. I ordered the miso tan tan and my dining partner order the laksa. The noodles are spot on. Cooked aldente with a nice bite. Both broths were full of flavor and a bit spicy. Highly recommended. They have a little corner ofJapanese snacks and beverages. If you love Japanese Kit Kats, they have them! Read more

Why is the best Ramen place in Alberta in Banff? We love ramen and tried almost all of the hole-in-the wall places in Calgary... and Edmonton, and Amy Ramen Bar is by far The Best in the province. Located inside a strip mall in Banff. You have to be thereearly cause they only have a limited seating capacity (around 8-10). Price wise, it?s expensive considering a bowl only consistsof broth, a little meat and noodles. That?s it. You have to buy the extra egg, chasu pork, bamboo shoots, nori, etc. I orderedthe Miso TanTanmen without additional toppings, and it still the best I?ve had so far! Noodles has a firm texture, their misobroth was creamy delicious with just a little spicy kick, ground meat was just enough to not overwhelm the bowl or the flavourof the soup. I finished the entire thing in just 5 minutes and seriously thought of trying the other broths. Service was amazingand fast! They also have mini Japanese groceries inside such as Kewpie mayo, Pocky snacks and more. Definitely coming back nexttime! Read more

Has to be the best in Alberta. Tried many places but this is one of the most authentic, comparable to places in Japan. Their... soup, tare, oil, and noodles are all on point ? super delicious. It?s hard to find a ramen place that doesn?t skimp on the brothover here. The location is in the lower level of the small mall. Only counter seating (around 12 seats) so beware if you have alarge group. Friendly and fast service! Read more
