Cozy, classy, romantic, and always satisfying. We are frequent tourists of the Oregon coast, and Alloro is our absolute favorite... place to dine when in gorgeous Bandon. I love the spaghetti bolognese. We have been here when there was a live harpist andanother time with an acoustic guitarist who sang lovely tunes. Read more

Don?t believe those saying the recipes aren?t as good as auntie?s or the portions are small, it?s just not so! However, this is... not a wine bar, there is a bar, yes they do serve wine, but it is not a wine bar. Don?t expect one. Just a tick under *****,just a little bossy. You get the bill with a clover QR code but they want you to pay in cash. It?s an overcharge for using acard, fee already there but no card charges that fee % they add; tip the harpist, she has no other source of income, over thisamount you pay for more bread. Relax, the place is great and apparently has been multiply recognized just so. Scampi waswonderful, house made pasta perfect. Bolognese not a tomato purée with meat, it?s a couple of very high grade meats cookedproperly to make actual bolognese that is top notch. Croutons - made from polenta, not your everyday and quite nice are in theCaesar. A rather expertly curated and fairly priced wine list except a premium for European wines, but you?re in Oregon forgoodness sake, drink local. I also don?t think any kind of live music performer is appropriate for a tiny place like this Read more

Hands down our best dining experience in Bandon, with delicious & beautifully presented dishes, a very reasonable (and very... reasonably priced) wine list, nice cocktails, and a very friendly & welcoming staff. We had our chocolate lab with us & had todine at the patio in the back, but the table was impeccably set, a small heater was provided, and even a Bluetooth speaker wasset up discreetly on the adjacent table, playing soothing music just for us. Have been coming for years - have always enjoyed it but tonight we were disappointed. We might have hit it on a bad night but... quality and taste wasn?t what we remembered in past visits An example of this was the Risotto was very good but the sea basscheeks were tough and lacking in flavor Our pasta dishes needed salt. The bolognese was watery and was just not enjoyable. Thebread was delicious. Read more

Every year, I visit Bandon and, part of my tradition, is to have dinner at Alloro. Let me start with the non-foods. ... Apparently, this restaurant is still stuck in 2020, because they are still requiring masks. Seriously! For a 5-foot walk fromthe door to your table. Everybody else in town has realized that the era of mask mandates is over, but not here. Pathetic. -1star People on this review site complain about the fees. The three main ones are split plate, extra rolls and corkage. Now,if you have the audacity to bring your own wine to a "wine bar," you should expect to pay a corkage fee - even one as high as$35. Also, the housemade rolls (delicious, by the way) are complimentary up to TWO per person. That is more than reasonable. To ask a mere 50 cents for the third one is not out of line at all. The $8 spilt plate fee, however, is a little ridiculous. The plating is not Michelin star level that would be hard to split onto two plates. Anyone who's ever worked in a restaurantknows how easy this is. As far as staffing, they couldn't be nicer. Our server was very friendly and responsive - making surewater is refilled and always available if needed. In the past, the chef/owner has come to the table to greet diners. Thisyear, we never saw her. (Maybe she's so deathly afraid of Covid, she chooses to stay quarantined in the kitchen??) Anyway, onto the food. In 2018, I had the duck with a cranberry chipotle sauce. Absolutely delicious. No longer on the menu. In2019, I had shrimp scampi. Beautiful shrimp in delicious scampi sauce with the chef's housemade pasta. No longer on the menu. In 2020, I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with a beautiful Crab Cake on top. Also delicious - the Alfredo sauce, the housemadepasta and the crab cake. No longer on the menu. Last year, unfortunately, I chose the Bolognese. It was served over some sortof pasta that looked like frilly lasagna noodles, cut in half. That wasn't the worst part. The Bolognese sa Read more

Very average food and slow service especially delivering check. Marcella sauce was bland and no chicken or véalo opción just... a "chunk" of mushrooms. Homemade desert selection was slim. Picked cookies (score bought) and fresh fruit with cream. Homemade? Read more

Small restaurant, big plates. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. The staff were very attentive, friendly, and... knowledgeable about the menu. The chef made it a point to stop by the table, and even shared some tips on a mushroom dish that ithought was amazing. I love it when a restaurant puts the same effort into a side dish as they do the main course. If you are inBandon, I definitely recommend this for a date night or nice evening with friends. Best place in Bandon hands down! Took mom on vacation and decided on this restaurant. Staff are extremely friendly and... attentive. Mom had shrimp scampi(28$ I think?) which was perfectly made best she's had. I got the 12 Oz ribeye(62$) and it wasbest food I've had in years and that's saying a lot for me. Meat was cooked perfectly to how I wanted and veggies went well withthe sauce and ribeye. Read more
