Today I stopped at a convenience store that had a Cafe and I had never eaten there before because I was always in a rush. Low... and behold I was running an errand and I said well let me order a sandwich. I reviewed the menu spoke with the one of theworkers and I ordered a Turkey/ burger with shrimp. All I can say is it was delicious. Had never even thought about such asandwich. SS Cafe is the name and will be at the new Lexington Market as well. Very nice group of folks. Gonna go again and tryother items. I am providing a photo of the sandwich but not the inside because I want you to order and see what’s inside andwhy it’s so tasteful. These dishes are so creative and delicious. Fruity Pebble Chicken and Waffles was so filling. Grits were on point. Cap N On the... Go has french toast like qualities in the bread, coated in mashed Cap'n Crunch cereal. Staff was super friendly, and rememberedwho I was on my second visit. I will definitely return. I was slightly disappointed because my mom and I were expecting a dine in experience but the wrong info was on Google as it's... only carryout. We then were extra concerned because it's inside of a convenience store. We actually walked out to look foranother place then pulled up Google again to look at the pictures of their food. We then just decided to try it out since wewere there. Soooooooo glad we did go back in! I really love the diversity of the menu and the food was really good. One of thestaff (or owner) mentioned that they will have a location in the new Lexington Market which will have seating options so I'mdefinitely looking forward to that! EVEN AT A NEW LOCATION FOOD STILL BUSSIN!!!! I finally got a chance to come back to SS Cafe and I'm not disappointed yet again.... I went classic cause I'm working but I got the chicken and waffles but I got fruity pebble waffles. Twenty minutes later and I finally got my breakfast sandwich. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what I ordered. I ended up paying $9... for the rich rising, I’m assuming the extra $3 from the menu price was for the biscuit swap, although no one mentioned it.They also charged me to add cheese, even though the description clearly states “scrambled egg with cheese,” and when Ifinally got my food, they had made it on some kind of sweet fruity pebbles biscuit! Who does that? I can’t imagine making achange like that without asking someone if it’s what they want, and I definitely did not. Additionally, the cheddar cheesethey charged me for was missing and my sandwich had American cheese instead. This all might have been less bothersome if thegirl at the register (Shani, based on my receipt) had not also been incredibly unfriendly and rude. Multiple people who orderedafter me got their food before me, one of which happened after my food was placed next to her and clearly ready. This is my 2nd time coming here and I enjoy the breakfast/brunch. The first time I came I had the Cinnamon Toast Crunch French... Toast with Chicken Strips. Their chicken is REALLY GOOD and very thick strips! This time I got a basic breakfast platter withthe Capt Crunch French Toast. To me, the Capt Crunch French Toast is better, but neither one of them actually blew me away.Maybe their specialty Waffles and/or Pancakes are better. The potatoes, eggs, and turkey bacon though basic, was enjoyable andwere cooked very well. What was TERRIBLE to me was that fruit tea! After 3 small sips, I had a headache from all that sugar.Literally tasted like I was drinking sugar smh. Idk how people drink that whole big container of fruit tea without getting sick.My body couldn't handle it. Overall, I do recommend this spot and I do plan on trying other menu items. Read more

Food looked good and menus sounded interesting. It’s inside a rundown convenient store. Cashier was very nice. But I was... disappointed with the food. $85 for breakfast for 3 people. No real seasoning to the food except sweetness. Even food youdon’t want to be sweet, like the salmon and egg croissant. The fish n grits were salty but the sauce did make it better. Thedrink was nothing but colored sugar water with a few floating fruit pieces in it. I checked out the reviews beforehand so I hadgreat expectation. I will not be returning. Food did look good.
