My mother was recently released from the hospital and had a taste for some soul food. I ordered from this establishment and had... it delivered to her. It was missing both drinks, the mac&cheese was cold, and the texture of the sweet potatoes was very odd.This will be the first and only time I ever order here. I am also truly disappointed at the level of customer service displayedwhen contacting them about the lack of quality especially during this holiday season. The first red flag was trying to order andbeing notified to remove certain items from my cart because they aren?t available in store; collard greens at that which are astaple for soul food meals. My take away from this is standard training in customer service as well as a quality control checkwith the food to make sure items that are supposed to be hot remain hot especially when delivered within 5 minutes. I ordered BBQ Chicken, the chicken was good but seems they just poured BBQ sauce on it, definitely wasn't baked onto the skin... because it was so much sauce it was all through my side of mac and cheese which the noodles was extremely over cooked andseparated from the cheese, as if its been sitting all day over heat..yams were ok greens had a funny taste towards the end ofeating them.. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I ordered a dish that was over $20 and ordered a small lemonade with no ice . The owner gave me the lemonade... with ice in it and when I asked her for another cup so that I could transfer the drink into it she tells me they charge extrafor no ice?! Excuse me. Why wouldn?t you state that before I paid then. She deliberately gave me ice so that I would get lesslemonade, then when I asked for more lemonade (which would fill up my cup) she gone try to charge me $2 extra?!? That doesn?teven make sense. The food is okay and the portions are small. The lady will joke and laugh with you very passive aggressivelyand I was shocked with her behavior because she knows me. I've been going to this place for a few years now and will continue to support. If you are looking for some good soul food made... by the hands of black folk then stop here and check it out. My favorite is the fried catfish which is so good. Fried toperfection and seasoned very well. I like to get cabbage and Mac and cheese with it. However I've noticed the decline in tastewhen it comes to the Mac and cheese and the cabbage. The Mac and cheese still has a good amount of cheese with those cheesenuggets buried everywhere but it doesn't have much taste, nor does the cabbage. The corn bread is always pretty flavorful andsweet but I like mines warm and kind of soft but still holding together, which theirs is the opposite. I still enjoy theirs withmy meal. The potato salad was also good, nice chunky potatoes with cuts of celery and mustard seeds but I like mine either sweetor seasoned more, so again just needs a little seasoning. The fried chicken is good, candied yams and collard greens from what Iremember. I won't say that this is the best place to go for soul food, but it is still really good and I would highly recommendover many other so called soul food spots. Read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way back to CT. We found it on Yelp. The food was delicious! And the service was great. I... had beef ribs with collard greens and mac and cheese.
