All I can say is look for Zachary. He is on his "A" Game. He will get you your drink, he will create a drink to your liking. He... will give you your space, or enjoy your company. He is VERY good and professional at his job. The place was slow early on theevening we stayed. He kept the bar open even though he could have gone home. A hour later a wedding party filled the place. Ihad asked a local about visiting a potentially less expensive bar in the area. Thank goodness, I did not follow through at plan.Very comfortable with a great view of the Harbor. This place was not what I expected. I decided to check it out from the news advertisement along with the Holly JollyTrolly... ride. The food presentation was not the reality of what you will receive when you order at the restaurant. It was empty thebartender was nice and conversing with customers but food was not great and if you decide to go to this restaurant make sureyou valet park or you will have to pay $16.00 for parking. Came in this evening for Charm City Trivia night. What we found was delightful. Small crowd, but a great time for everyone... there. The food was simply yummy. Drinks were perfectly made. Service was friendly and perfectly attentive without being overbering. Looking forward to the game next week already. Read more
Staff was very courteous, and the food and drinks were prepared and served well. However, some of the food was very overpriced,... wait times were long, and hotel did not have adequate staff hired to receive and manage guests in a timely manner. Read more
Kelly served us our first breakfast, and Deborah our second. Marcus helped us select an evening dessert and our wines. Tevin... provided great help as well regarding serving and clearing. Our food was well portioned, delicious, and served in a fair amountof time-- quality food does not pop out of a freezer pr microwave. A hotel restaurant. Good service, good coffee. Ordered two appetizers, The Thai Castle. Excellent,yummy The charcouterrie,... cuts of classic meats and cheese. The meets tasted fishy! Sent it back. Dinner. Seared Rockfish... 30$ the fish was a bitold... the sauce overwhelmed the fish did not compliment it. Serious let down Vegetarian Gnochi. Good.. but nothingspecial For a hundred dollar meal overall it was not worth it but was tired after a long day so it filled the hole. Would notrecommend... no telling what you will get. Read more
Visited baltimore 2 weeks ago for 5 year anniversary with my lovely wife...Wanted some drinks didn't want a real crazy night out... so went to the hotel bar located in the royal sonesta hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and Zack...he's was excellent! The only thing I can say is the theme was a bit confusing and the space was utilized in an extremely foolish way considering themarket. I think a fun, unbeat, more hip bar overlooking the waterfront would be much more lucrative and more enjoyable to hotelpatrons. I didn't feel like I was dying in the bar, I felt like I was dead already...That's how our dated it was! The "gastropub" did not live up to its name on any level. The espresso machine was not working the 4 days we were there, so it... was plain ol' bitter coffee. The sumptuous pastries advertised were plastic-wrapped donuts, sad-looking apple fritters, andslabs of flavorless banana bread, among other baked goods. They did sell an impressively large bacon, egg & cheese on acroissant, but the bacon was limp & undercooked. Explorers' seemed like the coffee shop you'd find in your dentist's officebuilding.
