Reviews for Creole Soul Restaurant in Baltimore, MD
Who needs salt & Pepper when your food is PERFECTLY SEASONED!? My friend and I tried this AMAZING restaurant today on a... whim.... SO glad we did. Do yourself a favor... GO! I ordered the Jerk Salmon & Grits and I added Grilled Shrimp and got aslice of RED VELVET CORNBREAD. The jerk season had JUST the right amount of heat... not over bearing. The grits had so muchflavor they could be eaten ALONE. 10/10 would recommend. Read more

Sorry guys but I was not impressed! I'm a big foodie and I know good food and good was not it. Greeted with a smile. I thought... the wait was kind of long. The food was piping hot but I was disappointed with the taste. I tried the jerk salmon and grits andshrimp. I also tried my husband's catfish grits and shrimp. I was not blown away by the flavors of the lack of. The red velvetcornbread was surprisingly not good at all. It had a not so great aftertaste too. I had high hopes for this place but the goodpart about it is I have several other vendors at this place to try on my next visit. It was an experience though. Upgrade yourflavor and you'll do better. Today was my first visit. I was greeted immediately, and a nice young lady took my order. My Mac & Lobster was not hot, though... I had just received it. My Lobster and Mac also did not taste freshly made. My two pieces of Catfish & Fries came in a whitebox wherein my ketchup packets were put under the paper that lined the bottom of the box, and the fries covered the two smallpieces of Catfish for which I paid $18. Who wants to dig through their food to see it and find the condiments? I didn't seeany desserts either, nor was I asked if I wanted to order something to drink. R.house has plenty of seating and a vibrantatmosphere, so they are definitely in a good spot. Everyone was also friendly. Finally, I was told that my only options forCatfish was with french fries for $18 or grits for $20. I could not just order Catfish. My Catfish was ok, but I have tastedbetter seasoning. My fries were nice and hot. I just feel like I paid too much for so little food. I paid $26 for the Lobster& Mac. Read more
I had the shrimp, salmon and grits. The grits were hard and not creamy. I didn't taste any cheese. A bunch of salt that gave... me a headache. Flavorless, the salt took over. Very disappointed because this place was recommended. I moved the hard gritsto the side. I'll stick with Busboys and Poets. Read more

I'm so glad I decided to dine at Creole Soul during my first visit to Baltimore. The food was amazing. Chef "Que" was on deck... serving Flavor and Soul in every dish. We devoured the shrimp & grits, lobster mac & Cheese, and the red velvet cornbread thenmade room for the chocolate beignets. I can honestly say this was the Best lobster mac & Cheese I have ever eaten. My husbandand I are planning to return before our trip ends just to have another slice of the red velvet cornbread. The food gets cold kinda quick, so, either eat fast or be prepped to reheat it in a microwave.
