This place is hands down five star when you can order online and get what you actually want. When you have to order on the... phone or in person, however, my rating goes down to three stars. When China Express' Internet is down, you are still guaranteedto get good portions of tasty Asian American comfort food for the price, but you're not guaranteed to get what you actuallyordered. This is because your order might not be understood, like today when I ordered my usual but got orange chicken insteadof fries. I didn't specify with "French'," so the cashier may have thought I was ordering some sort of fried Chicken. I waswondering why the total was almost $4 more than what it usually is, that wrote it off as due to recent inflation trends andCOVID-19 induced scarcities. Nope ... they got the wrong order, but I got my rib tips and I like orange chicken so I'm notgoing to complain when I eat that for lunch tomorrow. So my overall rating is four stars ... The average of my experiencesbased on the mode of ordering. If you order on the phone or in person and the price seems off, it would be wise to insist onthem repeating the order back to you. The ownership of this restaurant is also kindly advised to remind the cashiers to listenmore carefully to customers and repeat orders back. I understand that English isn't always the first language of employees infamily run Chinese restaurants, and mask wearing and plexiglass Shields make communication worse, but getting orders right isstill a must for 5 star OG status. The food was absolutely amazing! Super fresh and hot! The entire office did not have one complaint. We will definitely be back.
General Tso is awesome. Dumplings are great (we ask to get them fried on both sides and they are always more than happy to do... so). My boyfriend's mother loved the pork fried rice, which is saying a lot bc she normally makes her own. We order from themall the time. Always fast. Always hot. Always the right order. Couldn't be nicer. Been ordering from them for a year. One nightwe weren't even in the area and didn't have a way to get to them. My boyfriend had just had surgery and only wanted their food.They brought it to us and it was much further than they usually go. We called at a time when they happened to be slow, but justgoes to show the type of people they zre. Always happy to help. Read more
Surprisingly good for a neighborhood spot. I got the shrimp fried rice and buffalo wings. Both were tasty. The wings weren't... your regular buffalo. Slightly sweet with some spice. I'd go back again. Read more
??Warning?? Do not eat from this Chinese carry out. On today Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 2:27pm I called to place an order for... the Lo Mein. While eating my Lo Mein I discovered a dead fly in my food. I immediately called China Express and went off on thelady that took my order. Since I'm a Maryland State employee at Maryland Department of Health I will make sure this will beinvestigated. Read more
Been going here for 5 years and reffered family from out of state to eat there as well and the food was always delicious
