The facility itself is kind of tight but the food is great. There?s outdoor seating, and there is a restroom for... customers. They have a lot of good vegan/vegetarian options, and it?s just off the main street so there?s not as much foottraffic. Read more

This cafe and its owner are absolutely darling. I noticed a sewing machine set up and asked about it. She said they hadn't been... very busy lately so she's been using the extra time so sew masks! Just wonderful. They also make their own chocolate syrup soget a mocha. Read more

This place serves some good food that?s fresh and yummy. The staff members are nice and sweet. What makes me extremely upset is... the conditions those people work in. The sink next to their main coffee machine is broken and doesn?t function at all. So theemployees put a big bucket underneath the sink that collects all the water and then the same employees have to carry that heavybucket to the back room to empty it. The other day I saw a very petite young girl emptying that bucket - it was extremely heavyfor her, so she had to split the dirty water in half and make a few trips to the back room. If the bucket gets overfilled andthe liquid spills over, the employees have to clean the floor. They do not do it after work but every hour or so, as soon as thebucket gets filled. Moreover, only two grills function properly in their back room, and because of that the wait for your orderin any rush hour could be around 35 minutes. The place itself is worn out and needs some renovation. I bet if the employees puta jar with a sign ?donations to re-paint this room?, they would have the money to buy enough paint in a few days. What makes meeven more upset is that the owner of this cafe hasn?t done anything to fix any of the problems I?ve mentioned here. I go to thisplace almost every day, because they serve really good food, but the conditions inside and how much its employees struggle tokeep this place running make me shocked and disappointed. I used to eat here years ago. The chicken salad with, sesame noodles on the side with an iced coffee was just so amazingly... delicious. Those noodles can't be bested. When it's spring in Baltimore, eating outside while doing the weekly crossword puzzlewhile enjoying Carma's is some of my fondest memories. It's been years but I hope they reopen. Read more
