I have dined in and placed to-go at Busboys. In house, my server Saint was pleasant & took care of my order. He was well... mannered, genuine, and kind. The service was slow, but there was no rush for me to be served. If there would have been, it wouldhave been a concern. The nachos were my favorite and amazing! In ordering vegan foods, you find that at times, seasoning is lackluster, but the flavors were great. I was truly amazed by the vegan cheese. I?d get this dish again and again. My partnerenjoyed the chicken sandwich as well. The fries are a no. On my to-go occasion, my order wasn?t marked as ready, so it wasslightly cold. The dish itself was good, however there could have been more sauce since it was a pasta dish. I?d definitely tryit again on another occasion as the flavors were there. Presentation and size were nice as well. Overall, I?d keep Busboys inmy rotation, especially for cultural reasons. If you get the opportunity, stop by the shop as they have an amazing bookselection! The atmosphere was so welcoming and amazing!! The waiter that we had was so pleasant and nice. I love how they had books about... minorities! I got the Mediterranean Lamb burger and crab grit! When we went on Monday, the burgers were half off too!! Read more
When entering, the hostess was very friendly, greeted my guest and I, and escorted us to our seats. Our waitress was pleasant... while taking our order, and got us drinks pretty quickly. We only ordered entrees, no appetizers. Before our food arrived, oneof the servers informed us that they were out of romaine lettuce for the Ceasar Salad that we ordered and offered field greens.My guest was okay with the substitution, I chose not to get the salad and get the fries instead. 30 seconds later the serverreturned with our food. They gave me left over fries that were room temperature to almost cold, and less then their regularserving size. And for the sandwich, they forgot my caramelized onions which I asked for specifically. My guest order wasperfect, I however didn't get such great service. I guess they didn't care enough, since it was close to the end of service forthe night. After the meal was complete, our waitress, believe her name was Deja never returned to check on us, or ask about ourmeal, or to give us our check. We had to ask another waiter to get her. We ate outside with friends. Service was average, kind but less attentive then expected and mixed up an order. The shrimp and... grits were terrific as was the salmon and the chef salad. Will return. Read more
The experience all together I feel was 2 stars. It was not terrible but it wasn't great. The food was okay/good but was not... great. The floor was extremely sticky as soon as we walked in, and I felt like I was sticking to it walking to our table. Eventhough the food came out quick it was kind of bland. We ordered the crispy brussells sprouts, 3-egg scrambled w/ home fries, andthe egg & cheddar bagel w/ home fries. The Brussels sprouts were crispy but also had a burnt taste. The eggs were bland but thehome fries were good though. I had high hopes because I really liked the food choices and the ambiance; this is what originallybrought me in (vegan options, good food options that are healthy). The restaurant itself is beautiful (beautiful building,artwork, and great backstory about Langston Hughes). My drink (The Fresh Start) was very good and creative. The lack of serviceis what added to bringing the rating down. Yes, it was busy (not packed but busy) and our server was nice, but we weren'tchecked on and we had to find our waiter to check out. We weren't even able to grab another waiter to get our waiter's attentionto put it in perspective. We waited for the waiter to come back to at least order another drink or coffee but we waited aroundso long that we decided to get drinks elsewhere. As soon as we paid, the busboy was waiting with his cleaning tub for us to getup. Which we weren't going to sit around and hang out, but it makes you feel more rushed to hurry up and get out. These are easyfixes that I hope can be accounted for because it would make the experience so much better. Read more
I?m glad we finally have a BBP In Baltimore. It was pretty busy but our waitress was on top of things and I?m our food came out... fast (faster than our drinks). All in all it was a great experience. Read more
All good: customer service from entire staff. Manager visits the tables to make sure you're satisfied! Bathrooms are personal,... nice & clean!! The ambiance & art throughout the restaurant is warming! Oh the food was tasty & presentation topped it off!Poetry is available. I must return. Read more
I took myself on a date for brunch (I like to do self care days) I was blown away by how good the food was waiter was just ok... seemed like he couldn?t keep up even though it wasn?t busy when I went and the restaurant could of been cleaner(there was fliesand dead ones as well). I also liked that the restaurant had light music playing and it was a great selection. This would be aplace I would stop by a again for a quick bite to eat but not anywhere I would go if I wanted to do a fancy brunch. Read more
