The restaurant was supposed to be open for dinner. We were staying in the hotel and looking forward to a meal after touring in... the heat. The only worker was a person who was bartending an event. No orders could be placed. When we tried later at 9:30pm theperson who was still tending bar said that the kitchen was closed. I eat here at least 2 times a month sometimes more mostly on a Friday between 6-7 p.m.The host or the chef always greet me... kindness and with open arms. The service is great the food is excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone &everyone. Read more

I guess the chicken Alfredo wasn't terrible. Sandwich was.

We were there at the restaurant week and the service was really really bad. The waitress don't know how to serve wine, she... didn't wait us to finish any plate before serving the next one and it wasn't near the closing time. BIRTHDAY Dinner to remember! The server we had gave me and friends great service for my 19th birthday, the food was delicious.... My friend had the shrimp and grits and they are TO DIE FOR. Nice hotel bar and lounge! Awesome big screen in addition to the 3 tv's at the bar. Long time bartender is super friendly and... knowledgeable of menu. Menu is one of the best hotel bar menus I've seen with delightful modern infusions.. not your averagemenu by far. Kudos to the chef!! Read more

So this is a tough review for me. There was so much good and so much bad. Part of me wanted to give this place a 1, part of me... thinks it deserved a 4, I'm settling on a 2. The food was pretty good. This could easily be a place people want to go regularly,if they can fix the problems. The atmosphere/decor was nice. There was a fireplace and lots of comfortable booths etc. it isdefinitely a place that makes you want to come back. As many of the reviews stated the service was atrocious. It was one of theworst services experiences I've ever had. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. The bar area was, though. When we walked in it tookat least 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge our party. They did seat us by the fire place, as we requested. We were the 5thtable when we were seated. There appeared to be two waitstaff. Unfortunately it took nearly 10 minutes, for the waitress toacknowledge us. She filled our water and let us know she would be back in five minutes or less. Nearly 15 minutes later she cameback to take our order. Unfortunately no one give us any drink menus. Our waitress gave us a wine list, but not beer list. Weordered, and asked for beer list, which she promptly brought over. After waiting at least 20 minutes. We were out of water, outof bread with no beer or wine. Another table seated right after us still hadn't ordered. Either the manager or chef (based onhis dress) was attempting to do damage control with the tables. Our waitress forgot what wine we ordered and never took our beerorder. The chef got both of these things for us. When the food actually came out it was pretty darn good. There was definitelyeffort put into the plates. If the service was even remotely acceptable I'd definitely go back and/or recommend it to friends.As is, I can't recommend you go here unless you're snowed in at the double tree or there isn't anything open in the area.
