Haven't been to an A&W in decades. Took the kids and it was a blast! Indoors has diner booths and a jukebox. Table service... inside and out. Burgers and chicken strips and fries were really good. Root Beer Floats were fantastic. Would go again! Read more
Wanted to try this A&W. I use to eat at one over in Kansas. While waiting to be seated no one showed, looked and saw it said... seat yourself. I looked the menu over and no prob deciding. So, I waited and waited and no one came to take the order. Therewasn?t many people in the Restaurant. I noticed a lot of younger employees not behind the counter but one more level back,joking and playing. After 10 mins or so, I went to the cash register area and tried to order. The young lady asked if I wasgetting to go or dinning in. I said dinning in and she told me to have a seat. I waited again for 10 mins and no one came. But,there were at least 4 or 5 working and hardly any customers. They appeared to still be joking and having a good time. I justgave up and left without saying anything. This place is GREAT!! It's how the A&W used to be when I was a kid. Frosty mugs for the root beer, classic Americana decor with... Betty Boop, Elvis Presely, Classic Cars, I love Lucy and a 45 lp player lookalike that plays cds. Indoor and outdoor seating.The indoor seating actually had wait staff that took your order!! The food was even good. I'm not sure the last time I actuallyliked the food at an A&W. The one's in Michigan suck foodwise. The A&W franchise should look at how this one is ran. Seriously atotally different experience than the others. A better experience overall. I was just passing through town, but if I wasn't I'dbe a regular here for sure. Very pleased. Read more
This place needs more than 5/5 stars. Its an old fashioned sit down restaurant (which was odd because i have only ever seen it... as a fast food joint). Service was quick and the food was hot. And it was cheap! Best of all worlds. They have a jukebox hereand has the old 50's vibe that my family loves. Will definitely be back!!! Read more
Awesome food. I decided I would dine in. They social distance here. I wasn?t in a hurry. Well I had my own Waitress and all the... rootBEER i could drink.... I got 2 dogs with chili and onion and some fresh fries. I caved..... I got onion rings later on.Perfect meal. Perfect joint. If u stop in Baldwin WI, do yourself a favor and stop here 4 food. Food was so good. You sit at a table if eating in and a waitress comes to take your order and serves you which I thought was... kind of nice. You don't get that with fast food. Our waitress was nice and the place seemed pretty clean. Read more
