Went tonthis place on a whim. Walked in decor was clean and inviting. Bathroom clean and stocked. Service was fantastic. Then... the food came. I had oxtail. It was amazing. My wife and I decided to visit Coal House Grill for Date Night. We chose this restaurant over others because they require... reservations. The atmosphere was clean and inviting although I thought the restaurant was bigger. Lucky for us, there was onlyone other table occupied. Coal House Grill's quotes were heartfelt. All employees wore masks and they asked takeout customers towait in the back of the restaurant or outside until their order was ready. As for my oxtail meal, I enjoyed it. My wife orderedthe fried chicken and felt it lacked seasoning. Note: If you're looking for an alcoholic drink menu, you won't find much. Theonly drink option is a Bulldog Punch. (Colorado Bulldog drink to be exact) We thought it tasted OK. I'd recommend the ownersprep a drink that looks just as good as it tastes. The Colorado Bulldog isn't attractive in our opinion. We were treated very nicely during our visit. I can say that I appreciate the attentiveness from the lovely lady who helped us.... I ordered three small dishes together and my friend ordered the vegan chicken wings. Well done and pleasantly presented! I'llcome back for sure but hopefully for the vegan wings and a new dish to try. Read more
First off the food was great, it always has been every time I have gone. We had family visiting and they wanted some good food... so we thought to come here as we always have loved it here. I noticed they added some staff so we didn't see the owners thistime. My issue is no one brought us menus, water or came to take our order I had to call someone to do these things the newstaff didn't seem ready. Then when they did bring the items it was one person's drink at a time with about 5min in between thesame with the food with longer time in between. It was 7 of us so we patiently waited on all to get served. Unfortunately myfamily said they were disappointed and wouldn't come back. It really was a turn off. My suggestion please train the new staffas you 2 lovely owners would treat your guests. When the owners were handling it, was much more plesant and lovely experience. Read more
