I've been coming to this theater since I was a baby. I'm 22 now and it still gives me nostalgia. From when the big screen in the... lobby was working in its prime, til it broke down for years and now, in 2022 its been up and working. Its selling food now too.Man, My first movie that I can remember was the SpongeBob movie with Hassle Hoff. Now I just recently watch Thor Love andThunder and that was great. Read more

Overall a good theater, excellent location in community. Good lobby area with limited seating and small arcade. Decent... concessions (the secondary concession stand is no longer needed and rarely used) the theaters are in need of remodel to updatethe seating to more comfortable chairs and larger screens. If not a full remodel, the need to reduce prices to accommodate theexperience. Read more

Would?ve been 3 stars but the IMAX is worth an extra star. I haven?t been to this movie theater in a very long time. And not... just because of COVID. That?s out of the way let?s have a review. We went to see the 11am showing of Black Widow on the IMAX.Got there a little early to get snacks, maybe play a few video games, check out our seats (even though they were reservedseating). But it was a little after 10:30am. And the doors were locked. Oh. That?s a surprise. The box office and the doors wereclosed. I guess they won?t open until a little closer to 11? Maybe? Luckily the theater provided shade from Bakersfield killersunshine. But we had to wait outside a few minutes. Why not have us wait in your empty foyer where you have video games andstuff? Not winning any points here. Once inside the foyer was nice and clean. Staff member was nice and enough to hold thedoor for us after he unlocked the door. The snack counter had plenty of staff to help everyone. Fresh popcorn and fresh stockedcandy. The theater was clean. Seats were good. They recline a little but not the full lounge chairs I?ve been accustomed to atother theaters. The screen and audio experience was the reason for the extra star. And they did not disappoint. People tell meit?s not a ?True? IMAX but hey for Bakersfield. It?s close enough. My movie experience was delightful but not mind blowing.Still a really good theater. (Applies to the IMAX theater?I don?t have any experience with the regular screens) I wouldrecommend people to come here. Read more
