Decent food at decent prices. They have some unique milkshakes and a wide variety of food. They really need another bathroom... though, because the one small bathroom they have is far smaller than the restaurant needs, especially because it seems to bealways breaking down. Read more

Lavish and delectable Greek joint! Amazing Milkshakes, Gyro's & other desert's. Could be considered a full-on restaurant but... also fast food. Props to the overall aesthetics in this place and keeping up Greek food traditions. These guys are legitimatelyMad in Greek. Read more

Living most of my life in the Chicagoland area gyro and Italian beef places are abundant. We are driving along Interstate 15 in... the middle of a desert and I see a sign, The Mad Greek Cafe. Really ?! When we exited off the highway, toward the town ofBaker , I did not expect to find anything but an old boarded up restaurant that use to exist long ago before fast food chainrestaurants came into existence. As we kept driving through Baker CA, I was almost certain this place did not exist anymore. AsI said in another review, there is nothing wrong with fast food chain restaurants but to find something better to eat in themiddle of nowhere is just good luck ! As we kept driving down a ways, on my right, there it stood like the Parthenon in ancientGreece. A spectacle of white statues on the perimeter of the restaurant. We walked in and it was order at the counter and theycall your number when it?s ready service. The gyro meat was juicy and tasted just like the gyro meat of Greek town in Chicago. The zaziki sauce, red onions, tomatoes and lettuce were the perfect accompaniment to the flavorful tender gyro meat. The pitawas so soft and fresh. I wish I could have tried the hummus but my gyro is probably enough calories for 2 days worth of foodand I did not order it. Also, tasted my husbands home made strawberry shake, which was 10 out of 10. I couldn?t think ofanything that would make it any better. This place is an oasis in the desert. Read more

Great food. I had not been there for about 8 years, and I made a point to stop just for the Baklava even though I had to wait... two hours for them to open at 8:00 am. It did not disappoint. I it my Baklava and a couple egg and sausage sandwiches made withpita bread. Mmm good. This is a great little restaurant, lots of truck parking. Eat in or take out. Truck drivers with CDL andmilitary veterans and active duty get 20% off. Read more

The Mad Greek Cafe is a clean and friendly, old fashion, must stop near the Worlds largest thermometer and Alien Jerry close to... the freeway and gas stations. Parking is decent and food is prepared in a timely fashion. Their Lamb Gyros are flavorful andthe salad was a proper Greek complete with olives and feta as all Greek salads should have! The statues are abundant and ifyou're lucky you might see the local stray cats stopping by the patio for a sip of water. Read more
