Reviews for Blackbird Bakery in Bainbridge Island, WA
We got our wedding cake (3 tier + a GF berry cake) from Blackbird and were very happy with everything. The cake was wonderful -... lots of compliments from guests! - in both flavor and presentation. Heidi made sure to work with us to provide exactly what wewere looking for. We opted to pay for delivery and were very impressed with the service - they arrived on time and with all theskill and equipment required to make it a success. Thank you Blackbird for making our special day so sweet! Read more
Unfortunately I did not get any pictures ????. However, this is by far one of my favorite places! The coffee is great and the... food is spectacular! I recommend the toast with jam, seems simple but the bread is out of this world. If you go to Bainbridge, hit the Blackbird, you will definitely be satisfied! Read more
I stopped by with my daughter and her family, and we all enjoyed our selections a great deal. From the Savory Croissant, my... son-in-law and I had, to the Cinnamon Roll, chosen by my Grandson, the baked goods were all great. I expected good food, andthey did not disappoint. Having met my expectations, a solid three stars is awarded to Mora. Had I been pleasantly surprised inany way by Mora, I would have awarded an additional star or, had the experience been exceptional, two stars. Disappointing mewill result in lost stars. Read more
Self-service bakery that offers *high-caloric comfort food*. The bakery has limited seating but even it is sunny then you can... sit outside, see picture. We had a small breakfast, see picture and spend about $22 without tip. Compared to other breakfastrestaurants on the island, the Blackbird Bakery offers a faster service and a shorter wait time due to it's different servicemodel and menu options. Read more
My family literally rerouted our trip home to come to blackbird bakery again. The coffee (and espresso drinks) are stellar, but... the real story is the toast and gluten free baked goods. Having been recommended the toast a year ago, I at first wasskeptical, but decided to give it a try. I?ve now indoctrinated at least three others to the toast and have received nothing buthappy reports. Absolutely worth a taste :) Read more
Lived on Bainbridge Island since 1998 and this place remains a consistent joy to visit. Homemade sweet and savory goodies.... Amazing baked goods, breads, cakes, and there toast is the best. Quiches and tarts too, and fresh soups daily. And the coffe...my go to spot for a cappacino or latte for sure. Tjey have assorted teas too. There is a booth and a few tables and counterspace to chill. Not too loud, just the chatter of patrons and a faint radio in the back. Lines can be long on weekend mornings,as the Seattle ferry crowds fill Winslow Way in the nice weather. But the line moves pretty well. The staff is always pleasantand courteous. A must stop if you are on the island ?????? Read more
On my way to Bainbridge Island, I thought it's such a trek to get on the island, so the croissant better be good! I wasn't... disappointed. It's not superb, but I'll happily eat it (and I did) after an hour-long journey to the island. Definitely no needto feel bad for the island residents if this is the only bakery they get on an island. The bakery has a decent variety and theservice was nice. There are a few cozy tables inside, looking really warm on a cold winter day. During the summer, I can imaginepeople making full use of the big patio outside. Read more
