Reviews for Park Cafe & Grocery in St Mary, MT
Imagine if you will a snack bar at your local kids baseball GAME being ran by teenagers, that would be a two or three star lunch... compared to this place. The service ordering was quick because the place was empty (first clue). They didn't have water todrink, just sodas or a cup of ice (second clue). I guess considering the glaciers melting only miles away we could have got cupsof ice and patiently waited. The soda machine had not been cleaned in weeks and looked gross (third clue) so we ordered bottlesof water. They offered a Buffalo burger but they were out so we got chicken strips, mini corn dogs, and burgers. The onlypeople I would suggest this restaurant to is the health department. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Theunrecognizable burnt offerings were the "corn dogs". DO NOT STOP. KEEP DRIVING. Read more
The lunch food was delivered in a brown paper bag where you can eat it there or take it with you. The food was so-so. Glad... that the Huck pie was one of the best I've ever had. It had no top crust and little filling thus making it mostly huckleberry. Sadly, this would not be the same when I ate there again a couple weeks later. The second time I took the Huck sugar cookie andcinnamon roll to go. Big mistake as it's just covered with some sort of frosting and had little to no Huck flavor. However, the pie, though not like the first time, was very good as was the Huck milkshake. The restaurant opening and closing time andopen and close days don't seem to be consistent thus making it hard for customers to pick it as a place to eat.... have a PlanB. It's too bad there is no consistency wit this establishment as a couple years ago, it was quite good. Read more
The burgers were exquisitely cooked and it all came out quick too! The two short haired girls up front seemed a little off... though, they almost dropped our food. Lol Read more
Food was not good, service was even worse. Sorry excuse for pie. Way overpriced. All of the workers seemed incompetent and... couldn?t understand what we ordered. First they forgot one slice of pie and ice cream, then when I let them know they onlybrought the ice cream and still forgot the pie. Pie was cold, dry, gross and overpriced. Really poor service. Do not eat herewaste of time and money there are several other places around that are way better. Read more
Burgers were very good and fries were more potato like instead of thin greasy fries. For a little joint on east glacier side... it?s good! Price is fine! People that left one star reviews don?t travel much. Read more
We stopped in for a bite before heading into the park. We had the veggie burger + tots, both pretty good. The huckleberry pie... was good as well. Read more
Staff was very friendly and attentive. The food one of us got was really good (pancakes, eggs, hash, bacon, toast) and the other... one was not good (eggs and 'steak', hash, toast). They had large portions which was great after a long hiking day. I wouldn'tconsider this the cleanest place to eat but we didn't have any issues to mention. My only warning is to NOT use the bathroomshere as it was an outhouse. Read more
We passed the café when we were looking for a lunch place near Glacier National Park. That was the worst food we had for the... week. We ordered two buffalo wings and got some greasy chicken nuggets. The power of pie was a joke. The huckleberry pie wereceived was half frozen. The huckleberry lemonade was sugary water. Only the double cheeseburger was normal. The food was notcheap but no quality. We spent $100 for a bad meal. Read more
