The bowls are okay for lunch and tasty, sometimes a little too heavy on the sauces. But my problem with this place is how filthy... it has been the last two times I?ve gone. At one time over the years I really enjoyed eating at Zen. The last couple of times, not so much. I always order a BYOB with... salmon. Some years ago they changed the noodles (skinny) to udon noodles (fat and doughy). Okay. Today when I order my regularitem, the teriyaki sauce was thick and sooooo salty. I called to ask about this. "Has there been a change with the sauce? Why isit thick? Why is it excessively salty?" I was told it was the temperature. When the sauce is cool it thickens. I've never heardof such a thing. The noodles and salmon were hot (normal eating temp). Teriyaki sauce in the store doesn't thicken, even at roomtemperature it doesn't. Needless to say, I didn't get to eat my lunch.
