I would not go there with a client or for a date ? Ambience ? Nice and dark ? But music was confusing - it's not trying to be... an italian place - confusing vibe ? Service ? Hurried, rushed - no feel of a high end place compared to the prices ? So so manycapers in every dish - I mean really - get over all that over use ? Many of the appetizers were over the top salty and then theextra salt from the Capers - e.g. the Pesce Crudo and the Salad in the Burrata plate ? Loved ? Wagyu Carpaccio ? I?m not sure if it was when the server threw the chef under the bus by saying ?I wouldn?t order that, his recipe is off? when... going over menu items or when she condescended to my wife saying ?well, we have some lower priced wine, if that?s what you?reworried about? but overall, I learned a $500 lesson - this place is dysfunctional. Service was exquisitely rough (some peoplejust aren?t cut out for it Holly) save the water staff and one gentlemen who went above an beyond. This place definitely is athrowback to how Austin could act when there weren?t many choices on dinner. Now that there are, the only thing it has going forit is the location. FANTASTIC!!! Upscale fine dining, perfect for an impressive date night or office dinner with your boss. They have a wide variety... of wine. You can see in my pictures which red wine we got, it was yummy. The bread was fantastic. We got the Barratta for ourappetizer which was so cheesy and good. We got the squash as our first main dish, SO GOOD!! Second dish was the fettuccine.Absolutely incredible. 10/10 will be back. Shout out to waitress Holly for being amazing! Read more
My wife and i dined for our anniversary. Made res two weeks in advance for Sun 5 pm. Lots of foot traffic outside and parking is... limited so we parked in back. Place opens sharply at 5pm. We were greeted nicely and taken to our table and were greeted byLisette? Wonderful waitress who knew the food, knew the wine and gave us all we asked for. I had Spaghetti Pomodoro and my wifehad lasagna. Huge portions. We also tried a cheese pizza that was absolutely delicious. We did not do dessert because we werestuffed. The ambiance and food plus service was exceptional and outstanding. We paid almost one forty for everything. Wellworth the price. The food was good and will give credit for the Vespa cocktail. That was on point and totally recommend. However for me it?s... not just about the food but also the experience. It was disappointing that our evening was cut off by a guy who said there waspeople waiting for a table. Mind there were plenty others who were there at the same time as us and they out of everyone askedus to leave. Upon entry there was no indication that there was a time limit at the table. And I completely understand if thisis the case and have eaten at amazing restaurants who were forthcoming from the beginning. The staff that helps to clean andrefill your water was amazing as well and super friendly. But As the evening continued I also noticed when I believe it was thechef came to check on how other tables were doing? he never stopped by our table. Cozy restaurant with good Italian food. I'm addicted to their braised octopus appetizer. I also like that we can order pasta in... half portions. 2 people can actually try a wide variery of pastas. The tiramisu was not the best though. Too sweet and toolittle cream. Artipasta makes much better tiramisu. Still 5 stars because the service here is amazing. The staff was soattentive, very contrasting to another Italian place (Olive&June) we've been to recently. Read more
