My SO and I were in town visiting a friend and stumbled across this bar our first night. We ended up here every night we were in... Austin LOL. Loved the vibe, I’ve never been to a bar with PCs! If you’re a gamer this place is a blast. Loves that it alsowasn’t like every other ratchet bar on 6th street, it was truly a unique experience. The bartenders/servers were absolutelylovely and super helpful if we needed something. I wish I had gotten the gals name but one of the bartenders also gave me somegreat local food recs :) We also came in on a Sailor Moon themed night and I was SO EXCITED! I would have loved a bar likethis in college. Anyway definitely recommend if you’re looking for a bit more of a mature crowd/vibe on 6th. Hung out there watching college football and World Cup last Saturday. The gaming stations were also being used by patrons but... it didn’t interfere with the guys watching the games. Very comfortable atmosphere. Wings were great! Justin and the entire barstaff were awesome. Definitely going back for wings again and to catch up with Justin! Thanks guys for a great time! Phenomenal place that caters towards gamers! They put on different events like themed parties and watch parties for tournaments.... You can play any of the PC games with the purchase of a drink, the rest are open to play :) Read more
Its very much a video game bar. Not a great place to go hang out solo, but if you go with some friends it's a blast. The food is... a solid 7 out of 10. I've only ever interacted with 1 barback there that was rude. Everyone else is amazing. When they have a DJin, the music is unapologetically too loud.. but that's very likely me just getting older. 06/10/2022 Update: something I should have brought up is that if you are looking for a place to watch game tournaments (EVO,... Combo Breaker, ALGS, OWL, etc) the TVs seem to don't have the ability to stream YT or Twitch. Only sport channels. There is aproyector at the back streaming Twitch but apparently the audio system is broken or not linked to the bar's system (we were toldit was broken atm). So, watch parties seem to be a no go on this "eSports" bar. Location is great for hanging out and play someretro consoles while waiting for your food and drinks. It has a gaming lounge for PC and Console if you want to play for a longtime. Drinks are great! But the food... Stick to the wings and the tater tots. The burger is ok for the price but the chilidogs, disgusting. The hotdog is pretty plain but the chili, the chili is awful. You get better chili from a can of Wolf's Chilithan whatever I was served. No flavor at all. No amount of condiments would save this poor dog out of its misery. Stay awayfrom the hotdogs. Seriously. The pizza is fine, that one is worth trying. Read more
I've been to arcade and videogame bars all over the US, and some internationally. I have to say hands down, this was the... greatest videogame bar I've ever been to. My gf and I were visiting Austin for 3 days, and we spent every evening at thisbar. The thing that blew me away was the fully functional PCs in the back where you can play a bunch of preloaded fps, mmo, andother popular games. I have never seen this before. You'd expect them to be greasy and gross and low quality but that was theopposite of the truth. Alienware everything, mechanical keyboards, gaming mouse, nice headphones, and really comfortable gamingchairs. Everything was clean and spotless, no stickiness you might from people gaming, eating, and drinking. Besides all thatthey have your regular assortment of game systems; they had a switch smash and mario kart, the newest playstation and Xboxconsoles, and some retro consoles(SNES preloaded with everything as well). The drinks were good; nothing incredible buteverything was good, and fair prices. The food was pretty good too. I got a cookie from crave which I guess delivers food tothem, and it was to die for. The pretzel was pretty good as well. It seems they also have events they put on; we didn't get totry anything out since we were here for a few days, but they looked fun. All the staff were super nice and friendly, and veryhelpful when we were having issues with the PC sound. All in all a wonderful place to spend time in-between visiting friends inAustin. We're not locals, but y'all have something special here. Please keep them in business! Read more
