No question it?s the best place to have sashimi in Austin if not Texas. Quality foods with an American twist on garnishing that... is not seen in Japan. I?m sure their rolls are good but make sure to get sashimis and nigiris here, which their quality is hardto come by in the states. Read more
I?ve loved this place for a long time and still see some of the chefs I know and have enjoyed hanging out with at the bar. The... selections are fresh and flavorful. Decided to grab lunch with my mom and girlfriend to try this sushi place. We were welcomed by a waitress with a terrible... attitude and maybe even racism. Before speak on what happened? THE FOOD WAS AVERAGE AT BEST. CHECK THE PLATE AND CUPS BEFORE YOUDRINK. There was oil stains and lipstick on our cup and plates. Story time: We were seated. The waitress DECIDES FOR US wewere all having water. When I asked for green tea, she slams the green tea and multiple dishes on the table as when she wasserving us. Became upset when we ask for a new green tea because the glass was stained with lipstick. The entire time she servedus with an attitude but not anyone else around us. We are asian just as she is and she treated us differently? Out of respectfor my mother I did not cause a scene on how terrible this waitress customer service was. I work as a wedding caterer. This typeof customer service shouldn?t be acceptable by any restaurant/ or customer. NEVER COMING BACK. If you are Vietnamese. Steerclear you might get treated differently. At least avoid the TALL ASIAN WAITRESS WITH THE PONYTAIL. The staff obviously doesn?tcare. I am going to recommend people DO NOT come here, when asked about a sushi restaurant. Read more
Visited Tomodachi for the first time for a birthday dinner, it is a small restaurant, very cozy and welcoming. The staff was... very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive. Fresh ingredientes, fresh fish. The only negative is that you can only stay 1.5hours and you get your bill 10-15 minutes before the time is up, giving chance to pay, leave and for them to sanitize the areabefore the next reservation. I will still come back here, but if you?re trying to come here for drinks and stay longer than whatyour reservation states I will suggest to eat and go somewhere else for drinks. Read more
