Reviews for Tinos Greek Cafe in Austin, TX
This is my all time favorite greek restaurant, it?s a hole in the wall but you will not be disappointed. I love everything ????
I was so excited to eat here because I?ve really been craving good Greek food and this place really disappointed me. The... portions are very small for what they?re charging. The baklava was the smallest piece I?ve ever seen and definitely not worth$3.25. The lentil soup was absolutely horrible. There were no lentils and it smelled/tasted horrible. I think they gave me likea leftover batch from a week ago, it tasted old/expired. The rice pilaf is not rice pilaf.. it?s just unseasoned white rice withpeas and carrots. The chicken was cold (I live 6 min away from this place) and tasted okay. As I was about to eat the Gyro meat,I found a little piece of like gold foil (in the pictures). I asked for no olives in my salad and they still put them in, not ahuge deal, but it?s annoying when places don?t listen. Will not be eating here again and don?t really recommend anyone eatinghere. I just really hope I don?t get sick from eating this stuff. Read more
This is seriously the best Greek food I have had in ages. We Grub Hub this during the week?.and I am always blown away. The... falafel and dolmathes are absolutely incredible as sides to the incredible meat. This will NOT DISAPPOINT. We love thisplace!! Thank you Tinos!!! Read more
As a few others have said. This food was inedible. Quality, presentation, and the few bites we were able to consume were all... shockingly bad. We threw $48 worth of food into the trash. I have never done that before Read more
Got a veggie plate to go - not worth $11. They gave me only one falafel (which from the menu it seems this should be the main... part of the ?plate? option), and the rice pilaf tasted like unseasoned instant rice with a couple pieces of peas and cornkernels. Spanakopita was lukewarm and the dough was not crispy. The only thing that was actually okay was the lentil soup. Foodis served cafeteria style and looked like it had been sitting out all day. Overall it was edible but really disappointing inpresentation, quality, and value. Read more
Right in the heart of your favorite shopping center. Tucked between two stores that who knows if anyone goes in there... I'm... sure those places are interesting too but my eyes are always stuck on the choco-lauva the only thing that made this just a pinchbetter and I'm hoping & praying that this serendipitous Union happens where Tina's can actually afford a tiny bit nicer of tea.I paired this with a ZT sweet desert delight... My socks where are they I have no idea. To be fair though the chocolate byitself is complimented only by the addition of the most delicious honey from wence I dare not ask. I recommend the tabboulehpersonally and their hummus... Cured to perfection. I'm sorry I might be putting them up on a pedestal for this one but I wouldlove it if they did a traditional Greek cheese flambe. I imagine that would require outdoor seating though. Read more
One of the most authentic Mediterranean food spots I've ever had the pleasure to eat in. The gyros were wonderful, the pita hot... and the fries were tasty and slightly spiced. The atmosphere was industrious and clean, the cafeteria-style serving area lentand workman-like feel the the place while the tables, linoleum and large windows were very diner-ish. Loved the place. Will bereturning for more Mediterranean goodness. Read more
We usually get take-out and it hasn't disappointed. It smelled a bit funny when I dinned in but the food was very good. I'd... definitely recommend getting take-out though (or encourage the business to clean up a bit to dine into). Makes for a great movieat home and take-out dinner date! Read more
