I went for dinner on a Thursday for my anniversary. Reviews and the menu brought me in but it seems the management had changed... and so did the menu completely. The food was alright, but we were very disappointed expecting something else. The ambiance wasnice also and would have been better if there were any people there other than us but it was a ghost town and still we wereseated in at an awkward table against a brick column. Went here with a group of 9. Overall: good food, mixed service, but a few missteps that make this 3 stars. Food: all of the... food we ordered was good to excellent. I had the lobster pasta and was quite impressed. Other members of my group were equallyimpressed. The only problem was, they gave the the wrong order and I needed to wait 20 additional minutes while the rest of myparty ate. I was really disappointed by that. Drinks: so-so. I ordered a cocktail called Dracarys and was whelmed by the taste.The worst part, however, was my drink initially had fruit flies in it. This led me to question how their mixes were beingstored. If dead flies are in the drink, it typically means some sort of mixer is being left out in the open back ofhouse. Service: the wait staff was friendly and attentive. They gave us free tequila shots (it was a birthday) as well asdesserts. However, several orders were forgotten or misplaced, which really dampened the experience overall. As a result,I’m not sure I’d necessarily recommend someone visiting Austin Sophia’s as a spot to go to, but I think it’s anacceptable place in an otherwise stellar food scene. Read more
Meh. Drinks were good. Food was, well, the food was good when it came to Italian food but not great. I will definitely give... another try when not in a party of 6. It was very dimly lit and made it hard to see the menu. Overall wasn't horrible but forthe prices expected a little bit more. Read more
Wow the lobster bucatini was crazy good! Pricey but their food is done very well. Their bread rolls were also some of the best... we'd ever had. The lighting is minimal so be prepared for an intimate meal and ask for a few extra candles! Ha! Read more
